Typhoon Rebuild Kit

Is the Typhoon rebuilt kit worth the $40? It looks like mostly common o-rings.

I'm also not sure if what I have is a Stroker or Typhoon. It looks to be converted from a Sheridan rather than built from scratch. Does that make it a Stroker?

You can piece together a rebuild kit if you want to. It is much easier to just by the whole thing if you are doing a full rebuild. Where are you getting the leak?

Also yes Scratch built = Typhoon, conversion = stroker. You can usually tell by the sheridan lower tube.

There was a leak from inside the grip frame. Here is the gun in question with the grips/reg/bottom line removed:

That is a Stroker.

The way to tell them apart usually is if the barrel tube and lower tube are the same length in the back of the marker it's a stroker.
If the barrel tube is inset (moved forward) from the end of the lower tube it's a typhoon.

A semi-auto rifle is considered a Hurricane in all but a few instances. There have been a few typhoons converted to hurricanes as well, but never a stroker as far as i am aware...something about the way the holes and mounting lines up.

I had an old KP based Hurricane that had been converted to pistol format - serial H211 I think. I was curious where that would stand as far as classification might go.

I traded it to Drum for a Vector C and he converted it back to a 'Cane, AFAIK... C6quad has it now.

in it's current form it would be back to a hurricane if its in a stock, else it would be a typhoon far as i am aware.
