I managed to snag the last ICD lever change stock on Friday

Not gonna lie, it was a shitty birthday weekend. My fiancee has Covid so I'm quarantined and taking care of her. My favorite rapper got stabbed to death, my football team lost, and to top it off my childhood friend had a freak accident and may never walk again.

Not gonna lie, managing to snag this thing was the silver lining on a very poorly timed storm. Sorry for the rant, as much as it might not sound like it, I'm very grateful for this hobby right now, snagging an item I've wanted since I was a broke ass kid really did make a difference in an odd way.

Thanks man, I'd signed up for the email notifications to see if it would come back in stock. I work on the water, so I rarely get to respond in time to these types of things. Having it work out was such a nice surprise. I was absolutely blown away when I went back to the page after ordering and saw it was out of stock. I would've really been bummed out had I missed out.

They rock! I have a few of them make sure you get the piece to take the stock off to they are in stock now last I checked. It’s in expensive but a nice feature. Doc made a Trick valve body for the phantom for them that I really like. I run a stock version on my CCM and they work really great on VSC phantoms. Even run the stock on my tricked out Splatmaster. I like the reactions this gets.

What bottomline ASA are you using on your Phantom with this ICD stock? I managed to snag one as well on this last run of them and am currently researching a clean looking ASA for it. I found a PBG Centerline Duck Bill ASA, but don’t know how that would look or feel on a Phantom.

I like to run it off the Vertical ASA or I have one of Doc’s valve bodies that puts the lever strait out the back.

I would just get one of the CCI bottom line kits or pick an ASA to attach to the bottom of the grip frame if you are going to use the stock piece. But you can really run the ICD changers any way you want on the phantom. The same way you could a bucket or stock setup because it dose both.

I just ordered the piece for use without the stock, I was under the impression it came with it so I appreciate the heads up.

I've got a few potential plans for it. I've got a phantom I'm gonna run it on to get a feel for it, but I'm tempted to use it for my Spyder pump project if I can't find one of kits adapters to make a scout style dropout 12 gram charger pump guide set ups.

Because of this post I just found out ICD is not dead. I thought they disappeared like a decade and a half ago. I see they came out with a Nelson based pump a little while ago. I can't find much info on it. Interesting.

They build real steel stuff now. But occasionally pump out some paintball stuff. The pump gun they made was not a bad shooter. But the finish wasn’t really all that well done on them. They were pricey to so they didn’t sell well unfortunately. I would have like to see more stuff from ICD. There lever changers are the best 12g levers you can buy. They feed anything regardless of what 12g you use.

Impactfour when you get your Changer make sure the body and the collar that screws into the ASA are pushed all the way up. There are two set screws that allow you to orientate the changer lever to whatever side or position you want. Careful with these screws they can strip if you over tighten them. There are only 2 (wish it had 4 of them) but it’s important that the body of the changer and ASA top piece are all the way together and those Set screws hold it in place. Otherwise the lever won’t have the throw it needs to pierce 12g.

I have never stripped mine out but if I do I’m going to drill mine out for a lil larger grub screw and add two more. I have seen people have there’s loosen up on them. I haven’t had issues with either of mine. But something to keep an eye on if you use it a lot, and are changing how it orientates on different markers often.

Agreed. Those two little bastards are the only complaint I have about this changer.

Quick search came up with Drakeo the Ruler at an LA Music Festival.

Drakeo the Ruler was also acquitted of two felony murder charges over a shooting that happened at a warehouse party a few years before his death. He also had ongoing threats to kill another rapper YG who was set to play at the same concert. So that may have had something to do with it. Prison BS often spills over into the streets now even more with the lack of consequences and enforcement being dialed back.

Like Chuck E Ducky said, it was Drakeo The Ruler. Im not going to lie, he definitely went off the deep end in a manner that reminds me of Tupac after "Juice". What makes it tragic to me personally is that he just got out of prison on some very trumped up BS charges. Dude was facing life and spent about two years in solitary. When he came out he did an interview where he spoke briefly on how that affected his mind set. I'm not saying he was perfect, but his time definitely made him invite violence into his life on a much grander and more public scale. A lot of fans, myself included were worried about him overdosing, get killed, or committing an act of violence.

From a musical standpoint, he was an incredibly unique artist. His flow, cadence, imagery, wordplay and constant addition of new slang on a Shakespearean level made him a breath of fresh air in a genre that can become stale from an abundance of trend followers. I understand why some people might not feel like mourning him, but he had an irreplaceable talent.

Thanks for the heads up and advice. I've got a bad tendency to overtighten things, so odds are it's a matter of time until I'm drilling, tapping and scratching it up in the process.

You will be fine. Just tighten each side a lil at a time. While making sure the body and threaded top are all the way together.
            Working...
