    Rebuilding PGP

Ok trying to get my buddys PGP up and going. Got a rebuild kit from palmers. How do I get this part out so I can replace the 12 gram seal? It’s the only thing holding me up from finishing.

interesting side note to this story, it’s been sitting on my work bench for over 10 years ( yeah yeah) and apparently over that time frame, I can’t remember doing it at all, I must have found a center fire bolt for it. So yay! Which is why I want to get it going and send to him, to hopefully sink the hook into getting him to play again.

Once you remove the rest of the rear section of the valve. Place a spent/empty 12 gram in the front section (Like you would do normally). Then add another spent 12 gram behind that one. Using the two of them to punch/tap/hammer, the front section of the valve, out the back. 😉 ...did that make any sense?

Just drop it in nose down with the barrel pointed down it should locate.

Or thread the valve body onto the valve tool, and stack the valve together facing up. Then carefully feed it in and flip the gun face down.

Once cleaned and all the dried, sticky oil it should slide it pretty easily 👍

I have a wood dowel I usually put it in where a 12ie would go and tap dowel on the ground with the gun in hand to use the guns inertia to pop out.

Got itS thanks guys. It’s been a couple decades since I was inside one of these. I forgot all the tricks. It fires, no leaks. Chronoed around 225 with my reusable balls but it may be because they are small. I’ll try it with paint tomorrow. Maybe order a new spring along with the cartridge rebuild kit for my 68SC.

Also I need to go to the hardware store and get thicker rings for the bolt. It’s way loose. That should help the chrono speed as well.
