I got a random newsfeed suggestion the other day and saw what appeared to be an OEM gas through frame for the CCI Phantom... well, it's a bit pricey but I haven't bought any paintball stuff in a while (also haven't played in a while) so I ordered one last week. Received it today (super fast shipping) and it looks super clean. There is a small "tunnel" that runs from the front of the trigger guard and from the bottom of the 45 grip. The tunnel ends just beneath the valve on the back of the frame... very close to where the rear screw/thumb screw is. A small bit of circular machining lets a small o-ring sit between the frame and the valve body's corresponding hole is. The o-ring is small and is not really captive by anything other than grease or lube so it is very easy to lose if you are stripping the marker down.
Due to the o-ring needing to be sandwiched between the valve and the frame, assembling the the breech onto the frame with all internal components is a little bit more annoying than usual. I tested the seal with a CO2 cartridge in a bucket changer on the front vertical adapter with the included screw in seal on the 45 grip ASA. It held air and I fired off a few dry fires then degassed the cartridge. It is a hot, rainy mess down here where I live and I normally don't play in the summer so probably won't give it a good test run for a while.
Hoping the new owners are making some money so we can continue to see the Phantom grow again.
