    JT ER2 Pistol Breakdown

Well, starting to run out of things to dissemble, so today I present take apart a JT ER2 pistol.

First this beast is almost all plastic and doesn’t use a single Allen key. Pretty sure it’s never been meant to take apart, yet this that hasn’t stopped our fellow MCBer’s modify these with better barrel etc. The one I have is standard, with some having attempted to give it a rattle can paint job

So here we go! First steps are to removed the various screws holding the body together

Then you have to pry the two pins in the pump hand off. One came out easier than the other, but a hammer was involved.

The body was a typical clam shell, and unlike many crappy markers (and Tippmann 98s) no strings went flying upon separating the half:

The barrel is just a plastic tube but it does actually have a ball detent! So that’s always a good sign. No threads on the barrel and it just sits in the body. The bolt itself just hits the back of the barrel and does not penetrate the barrel.

The internals are pretty simple, as one would expect. The bolt has arms that connects directly to the pump handle.

Here are the internals. Nothing fancy, but they work (I assume, have not aired this up yet).

And the final thing is ensure the trigger spring is properly inserted into its holder to ensure proper positioning when reassembling the marker.

And there you go! Pretty simple. And looking the pile
of rattle cans I have sitting in the corner, I have have to give this a new paint job.

Another fantastic write up. I just made a freak barrel for mine, and it shoots way too good now.

Is it a freak back or just an insert?

It's a custom made brass barrel that holds inserts. I have a write up in the brass eagle section

If you want to triple the strength of that smoke plastic, Fill in all those cavities with JB Weld Marine Epoxy. Helps prevent the body from cracking which these are notorious for. I'm debating on make a cast metal body for one of these,if I do I'll post up my results
