Raw assemblies will ship within a week (or two), but I'm still working on details for anodizing. Black ano can be preordered with a 4-8 week leadtime expected.

    You saw it here first!

I'm busier than a one armed paperhanger right now, but I'm planning to get these to anodizing this week so you all can enjoy your July builds. I'll be unable to get much done the rest of June but will be back at it in July.

Standard 1911 full-size panels, and a slightly larger, rounder knob (in aluminum, but the delrin prototype shown above) on this batch. Should work with anything taking a Nelson spec frame/ valve. I designed it around a 007 and a Bushmaster (old style with the short body).

Unfortunately, the Phantom and 007 versions have different geometry. This one was about 90% done when I asked the machinist to hit "pause", then he modified the spacing of the valve screws. I made a custom valve and a custom sear.

So, it could be done... but it's a machining project, not a bolt together project.

I didn't know the R7 was only a frame at the beginning. Learning every day.

You forgot the part where he sold markers a 2nd time that were owed to other people when he did end up finally completing some after prices got pumped and dumped with
Facebook hype. It’s the #1 reason I do not have one in my collection. But this I would I’m super excited for the *86 frame.

That is more or less the story. The first and second run of R7s went out just fine, along withsome but not all of the third run. No idea how many did or did not. FWIW, I owned both a Falcon and an R7 and they were some of the coolest guns I've ever had. Very well-built. It's a shame things went the way they did.

The reason I said it smells like Avratech is that the R7 started as an upgraded triggerframe and valve, and the project slowly morphed into a full gun. He scrapped the Falcon because the R7 project got a lot more traction.

Avratech sold preorders for the Falcon to a lot of people (including myself) then decided not to make it, and make the R7 instead. (I had sold my preorder slot by then at a loss. I hope whoever bought it got something for it.) People who had signed up for a unique open class marker were now lined up to get a stock class pistol, and a few were made and delivered.
Then he decided that was too hard and disappeared without delivering all the pistols, either.

If my memory serves, there were also some preorders for accessories that didn't materialize.

I'm merely speculating on the patchouli part.
