With all the wild (and quite frankly badass) builds I'm seeing here, I'm very much hesitant to post this...but I couldn't find a better thread to post this in so here it is; my old Sheridan PGP, recently rescued from storage after 20+ years.
I bought it in 1995 from a stoner-player who'd inherited his gear from his older brother, who had in turn bought most of it from a field who was upgrading their rental gear to constant air guns and was selling off their stock class rentals. So I have no idea how old it is, probably early 90s at the youngest. The price? $20 and a weed hookup...again, the guy was a stoner, really wanted a bag after the day's play was over and I knew someone who was holding. Ah, outlaw-ball...you meet all the interesting folks.
Back in the day the PGP served me very well as a backup; I remember several times when my main gun (a Pro-Lite) ran out of air/paint and other players would close in, thinking they had an easy kill on their hands. I'd pull this little honey out of the back of my cammies and let them know "surprise mother-haver, I ain't done yet". I also had a lot of fun just running around with just it and pockets full of 12 grams and 10-round tubes, partying like it was 1989. It was a good time.
Tech specs: The PMI grips came with my purchase, but I added the C02 quick-change and the bolt. The PMI grips, I've never seen another PGP with those attached. Can anyone tell me if they were an aftermarket thing or some sort of garage-shop addition? I've seen them on other non-PGP markers but never on a PGP. Don't know why they weren't the standard, they are hella comfortable in the hand...way better than the PGP grips Sheridan offered.
Recently I've been bitten by the paintball bug again and decided to get back into it, so of course I will be trying to get my PGP back into fighting shape. Why? Because the idea of tagging a kid out with a marker old enough to have fathered him appeals to me, that's why.1 Photo

nice little shooter! the grips are a pretty common upgrade around here, iirc produced by hogue grips for pmi . bolt looks to be a cut down pmi1/p68 demon speed bolt. use it with pride, I ran my pg as backup couple weeks ago

Thanks y'all, I love this little honey a lot. When I dug it out of storage, gripping it again for the first time in 20 years was like shaking hands with an old friend.
I already have an O-ring kit on order for it, is there anything else I should expect to deal with getting an old gun like this back to fighting shape? I've read that the current paintballs are smaller than the old ones and that can cause feeding problems in Sheridan P-series guns. Anyone want to weigh in on that?
@chpinstone: Wow, the grips were made by Hogue?? No wonder they're awesome.
And yeah, the owner of the shop I frequented back in the day was willing to modify a bolt for me when I asked about upgrade parts for my PGP. Cost me a bit but hey, that's the sport - especially if you're a teenager who can't afford a shop lol.

A familiar KP, and my PG8, running on 8 gram carts. Between the 2 of these, I got close to 60 shots before I need to swap carts. It's a nice matching set, a Palmerized KP, and the PG has some of the last Palmer .680 tubing.2 PhotosLast edited by JeeperCreeper; 06-17-2024, 04:36 PM.

I can’t take any credit on this one. I just gave JeeperCreeper the PGP and a speed demon bolt…and told him to plate it since we all know you’re allergic to brass…😂
I’m glad you’re happy with it!

Wow, he used the words baby and love instead of plumbing and hate!

AnarchicArctic HAHAHA you are right but at least it is pretty hidden that it was a crappy old piece of plumbing that I hate.

Double barreled pgp made by chlpnstone named DP9. I got it from Industrial halo ..I tossed the k frame on it. It points really well, its probably 3.5 pounds of fun. It holds air, but not sure whats its chronoing or what a 12ie yields. Ill take it for a drive at fall giant big game.
first picture on my new phone! Apparently they don't like hitting concrete at terminal velocity.5 Photos

I've had this old girl since about 1993. As she sits below is how she looked up until a few weeks ago. I wanted to give her a different look and although she didn't leak, I also wanted to dig out the stuck 12gram that's always been there - that was fun. That face seal didn't exist anymore and I was dumbfounded as to how there were no air leaks.
This is the longest tenured marker I have with my Armson Rifle being the second (bought about 6 years later). Everything else I used then has come and gone. This one though: a lot of great memories, actually took to HPA well, and I'll be holding on to her as I have all these years.
How she looks now
