Had a little time today and decided to work on this pgp which was originally the work of netsurferdude2. Slapped my new brass kframe on and was bummed that it didn’t fit in my western rig. Originally it used a tube up front as a ball retainer and just had too much meat too far down to seat fully. But I had some feed tube bits kicking around and really wanted to use it with the rig, so decided to make it a dedicated six shooter.
started with a relatively matching section of Pgp2k feed tube
used my calipers and pipe cutter to make a matching set to the existing feed port. The sleeve is done by cutting to length and then using a dremel to remove the solder strip. You can then pry it open, slide it on and it clamps itself shut.
For the feed plug Chuck E Ducky suggested using spent brass and myself and a few other Ragnastockers agreed. Pressed out the primer with a dowel and a vise and then cut to size to insert in the sleeve.
All assembled it has room for six rounds with a half a ball’s wiggle room and fits nice and snug in my western rig.
after I get my hands on a little more brass I’ll probably add a nice single action styled sight to the front since the one netsurferdude put on has gone missing.
