ID:	379711 FFound this old pirate stock yesterday that I had gotten probably over ten years ago and always liked its old school character.
Many old timers may recognize this old dude as the knob on the end is removable and a chrome triple V stock screwed in its place.
i have it and post with it later as this is the start.
Just so happens I open the brass bin and right on top is a piece of barrel tube about six inches long or so and a kp length bolt was stuffed inside.
I did not have a kp length lower tube but I did have two pgp lower tubes......so I reversed the one and made a sleeve to join the two..
I cut all,the slots it needed and enlarged the transfer ports to 1/4" i.d... aka the bolt inlet also.
i wanted it freak barreled so I made one for extra long freak inserts.
barrel is 8" of control bore and 12 1/2" overall.
I wanted a nice site rail and made one to fit between sleeves..decided that wasn't the total look I wanted so I found a piece of 1/8" x 3/8 brass bar and a piece of 1/4" x 1/4" thin wall tube and made a shotgun style vented site rail..
I like ghost rings so I made one using a piece of one inch tube...
still more to add and hot work to do but she is what I sort of envisioned..
I kinda want to powdercoated it semi gloss black-fine texture black but the wife thinks the silver gray I did jordans in would look better.
Anyone car to share there thought on the color...
    Here she is so far..

Whoa, I really like that pump handle and the rail on top of the barrel. Everything you make is so good looking and smooth

I'll side with the right side on this one 👍
The silver/gray would look quite spectacular on this one. Black might be be a bit too "classic" and take away from the funkiness of the overall esthetic ... Just my 2ct ...

Are you gonna keep that one or pass it on to a lucky pumper?
Love my brass ... Love my SSR ... Hard choices ...

Part of me thinks a heavy patina or something similar to riots pirate would look best

The character……. begging for a lighter color to show off everything. Impact’s comments of patina maybe mixed with silver. Capture the ruggedness somehow.

Im going to say I'd do that burned oiled bronze that one of the free builds boasts.

I really like this one. Kinda has a sawed off shotgun look and the skull crusher on the end finishes it off.

My vote is the same as always, leave it brass and let it tarnish.

Who is this one going to if I may ask? Are you finally building something for you?

I'm probably going to let it go.
Now, that being said what type of feed do you all think I should make. It is going to be tank fed so direct feed for a stick feed or hopper or a horizontal feed tube..
And the silver with a touch of black does sound good. How about a silver vein.. I also have a gold vein but it's comes out different ever time I use the dang stuff.. The burnt oil green ( I like that better than gold/green) does sound sweet also..
                Give me your input
                Thanks

If tank, go stick feed in or 50rd hopper ...
Or horizontal stick feed that fit into a direct feed so you can get all 3 in one 😅

Ooh, silver and black would be striking. As for feed, I agree with BrickHaus, no hopper.

You could always do one of your crazy tiger stripe paint jobs, maybe in two shades of silver? With a horizontal feed? That might look incredible with the rail! Amazing work as always Wally.

Now that i am thinking about it... Maybe a reverse Cram and jam so you don't obstruct the rail?
