JeeperCreeper's double barrel posts got me motivated to finally start mine.

Got some bits and pieces I'll be assembling, starting tomorrow... no break barrel action, sadly, and no Freak setup. We're going fixed bore. Plain, old-fashioned fixed bore. Just plain, old-fashioned .680 Titanium fixed bore.

Fixed bore TI is the way. Much excited! Make sure you space your feed tubes ever so slightly.

My chlpnstone dp is awesome, but with the feed tubes being tight to eachother, you gotta jostle it a bit to feed paint. The tiniest of gaps would prevent that.

The lower tube is a chunk of Bluestreak/Silverstreak tubing I got from Bacci a while back with the intent of doing this. I removed the Nickel plating so I can solder it all up and marked/drilled the new valve ports - you can see the original one near the end of the tube.




It has a fragment of the original lettering on it - looks like a couple inches were removed at some point. You can see the "5mm" stamping - .20 cal, I think?.

For future reference, solder sticks to nickel very well. I use the same solder and flux and get good results.

I wanted to go all brass on this one so I sanded the nickel off... but I'll remember that for the next one!

Thanks! I needed to add a threaded piece for the 12gram cap but I didn't want a super long section of brass covering the Titanium, so I figured that was a good compromise.

The road so far...

I still need to cut the feedholes and make up a couple of feedtubes with Thadapters of some kind, and get a couple of bolts. And make a pump arm, probably brass.

Leave it brass? I'm not 100% sold on the Kframe either, might make it a pirate or put my .45 on.

Pirate stock for sure it will complete that boom stick look.

Unpopular opinion, but I'd put a cocker frame under it. With 2x barrels, and 2x feed tubes it'll center your gravity a bit better. Plus I enjoy stretched out grips, but it seems to be a long reach as it sits, and a pirate will space the same.

I do like the rifle feel - my KP with my Tactical Pirate Grip Mod is a blast to use - so I'll try it out with the Kframe first, but I've got my .45 Mag frame (that used to live on my Pursuit pump) that I can use.

How did you mount the titanium?

The breeches are made of 3/4" OD brass tubing [0.692 ID) that is sanded down and pressed into 21mm (19mm or 3/4" ID) brass tube. I made the outer tube slightly longer than the inner by about an inch, then sanded down the exterior of the titanium tubing (also 3/4" OD) and pressed that into the breech assemblies.

The end tips are made the same way - there's roughly another inch of brass .692 ID tubing that finishes off the ends, so the titanium is sandwiched between two sections of brass.

The brass bits get soldered in place like usual... the Ti seems to act like a heatsink so the tips took a little longer to heat up and cool down.

Got the feedtubes made - I dug through several boxes and found back some matching feedplugs and a longer pump handle that Alexndl printed me, so that part's set - but I still need to cut the feedholes in both the feeds and the breeches.

I taped 'er up to see how it looks... I think it's turning out pretty decent.
