Which rear tube caps work on Sheridan markers for kp style builds?

    Hi guys,

Like the title says I'm looking for info on the air rifle back caps that people use in kp style builds with Sheridan bodies like the pgp. I think I've found a lead in some that are compatible with some Sheridan streak models. I've attached a photo of the one in looking at in case that helps Click image for larger version Name:	Screenshot_20250201-191309.png Views:	0 Size:	265.5 KB ID:	651535

That's a Bluestreak trigger group. The cap works on any K-series (or P-series, really) but the trigger will only work with a Bluestreak, or "C" hammer. It might work with a P-series hammer with modification.

You need the double-lobe trigger for a KP.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: β€œI shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

β€œBut Lord,” asked Gabriel, β€œIs this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, β€œJust wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

the single lobe trigger is whats on my pgpness. itll work, you may have to file either the sear, or the cap a bit to make clearance depending on tolerances.

That sounds easy enough. If I end up pulling the trigger on this purchase I may contact you for some guidance when it comes time

Would a trigger like the one in this link be a simple swap out job to make it work with a p-series?

I'm debating grabbing one of these back caps for a project down the line, but it's a bit pricey so I'd prefer to keep any modifications if need to make simple and reversible

they are spendy for sure, once you built a brass up you quickly realize why people want 600-800 dollars for built brass. That double lobe trigger wont work in a ppgp lower unless you take the second lobe off. There isnt enough travel to utilize the second lobe.... Well maybe is you have a newer stype p series hammer with the relief in it it may work, but I havent tried it.

you dont need to do a kp back cap convert to make a rifle or pirate, though they are easier to achieve. you can cut up a pgp frame, and add a micro tie rod to the trigger to relocate the trigger, then make your stock.

The how to is here is you missed it https://www.mcarterbrown.com/forum/p...nto-wood-stock

The above link is a build Walz did utilizing the p series to k series mod. It is more work, but you would need fewer high value parts.

I've read through that thread a few times, and debated it giving it a shot but already have a number of hurdles in these builds as a first timer so I figured I'd make one aspect easier.

I said screw it and ordered it, here's the link for anyone interested: https://dlairgun.com/products/trigge...-streak-models

Its definitely on pricey end, but with the CAD to USD conversion it's a price I'm willing to pay. I think I'll use this to turn my single shot pgp into a pirate pistol, and use the Blue fork trigger for the constant air build I've got planned. Now for this freezing weather to hold off so I can get to work!

Edit: I may have snagged the last one, or ordered an out of stock product, we'll see how this goes

Thanks for the offer Jordan will let you know. Been searching for a while, I think they are becoming the holy grail for builders. Don't want you to be short one I am sure there are more cool builds in the future.

looks like the original question is answered, I had a thread on k-converting p-series that was unfortunately lost to the hack that had more detail. as people have said, the single lobe c-series is the closest to the right length as you'll find pre-made, i typically cut the hammer to fit the sear vs. the other way round (or simply make a trigger/sear to fit from scrap tool steel).

It looks like my order did go through with the airgun website, we'll see if I can make it work when it arrives some time next week. If not then an incorporated RVA sounds pretty nice!
