Different Impulse Solenoid?

Has anyone ever tried tapping the holes in the body for barbs and running hoses to an aftermarket solenoid? Would there be enough room for that?

I'm thinking about picking an Impulse up and it would be nice to future proof it.

I haven't seen this done but I reckon it would work just fine.

Also I have spare solenoids if needed.

Ydna is your best bet for finding out.

If you run an external LPR ie: Tapeworm, then yes... most solenoids don't tolerate 200psi.

I have an old Impy body kicking around, I seem to recall there being enough room for barbs but would have to double check to be sure.

Back in the day I had a plate made with groves for o-rings and ran my predator impulse with a 2k2 Timmy frame with a Timmy solenoid/board setup. Never directly tapped the body for m3 barbs though.

It was tried before. I think the body metal is so thin there is barely enough for decent threads.

A plate would work better.
