    Shocker CVO Venting From Regulator

Was playing last weekend and my Shocker started venting from the bottom of regulator - right at velocity adjuster. It's doing it rapid fire and not a constant leak so I'm guessing it's the pressure relief valve. When it started I was able to continue playing and got most of a hopper before being shot out. Shots were consistent too and not dropping off.

I took it apart today and regulator looks perfect, no orings are showing any marks or wear. Put it back together and it is still venting but now it won't shoot either. When I pull trigger, it vents air down barrel but won't shoot.

Is issue with the frame? I'm going to swap electric XLS frame on to test but would like to narrow things down before tearing gun apart again.

This year I've been playing less due to work and seems like everything is failing more. Cocker, Shocker, and Spire loader all went down this weekend. Last couple of years was out all the time and stuff never broke. Guess they don't like sitting around.

I know it's real picky with orings. It might be worth it to get an oring rebuild kit

That's what I saw in manual too. I just replaced all the o-rings in regulator and no change.

I did swap out cvo frame for electro and it now shoots but still leaking.

Will pull reg again to see if I missed something.

First step it’s to determine what is actually leaking. These diagrams will help you determine exactly what is going on and what you need to focus on.

Its probably this one if it’s leaking from the lower vent hole.

Thanks. Will check that one again. Replaced yesterday and it still vented after but maybe I messed something up. Will check them all again.

Wouldn’t hurt to clean your tank reg as well. Most over look that and never service them until it has a problem.

I've rebuilt this twice now and still haven't fixed the problem - all of the o-rings visually look fine (the original ones were fine and the 2x new ones look good too). The only item I have not replaced is the regulator seat as I don't have one handy. It was in perfect condition when I started trying to fix this but somehow it is now depressed into the seat and slightly damaged. Would the overpressure situation cause it to distort? I'm going to replace it but don't want it to be damaged again if it's not cause of issue.

Is there anything upstream of the reg that can cause overpressure? When the tank gets low on air below ~600, it stops venting.

              Gun continues to fire normally.

Have you tried another tank. Sounds like your tank reg is over pressurizing. But if the reg seat is worn or missing replace it that’s probably your issue in the first place.

But wouldn’t hurt to check your tanks output pressure.

This sounds like a Reg seat issue to be honest. They do tend to go on Shockers too.

Perfect, thanks. I'll order it then.

I've tried 3 separate tanks, all standard 800psi, same issue.

It’s definitely got to be the reg seat especially if it looks off or missing.
