Can XE breach be milled and threaded for regular ion feedneck?

I am thinking of fitting this one in there. Seems to me that there is enough metal to do that. Anyone done or know who can do it?

I am just a little confused you ask if a ion xe breach can be threaded for an ion feedneck yet the images you show are a warrior body on XE breach, is this just a couple of pictures of the xe breach you had on hand or are you trying to get a warrior body on as well?
Either way I think that has been done and is not terribly difficult. With that said I am not sure who can do this for you I would suggest superman but I am not sure if this is something that he has time to do.

I think he's trying to run the Warrior body on the XE breech so he has a BOB Ion. But the XE is when SP started incorporating the feed neck stub into the plastic bodies. So I'm order for this to work with that body, it needs to be threaded for a feed neck.

The other thing with the Warrior body cover is there is a notch on the inside that keeps the ion chamber from sliding too far back. This notch also keeps the XE from sliding all the through and lining up. Not sure if other Ion body covers out there have the same thing. Also talking with superman to see if the notch can be milled off.

Ion XE bodies are not compatible with Ion body covers, for that reason. You'll need to modify any Ion cover you want to use.

Jordan not sure on other ion body covers like the lucky, dynasty or NDZ, but the XE would fit if it was not for a little notch on the inside. This I guess sticks out to stop the breach sliding all the way through and help you line up the breach with the frame screw. Mill that off and the body would fit.

They all have something like that - it's to line up the rear donut on an Ion can.

Can diameters are slightly different as well, so some bodies won't slide on either.

You are right on the can diameter. The XE can I have fits that Warrior body. I have another body that this XE would have worked great on. But it does not fit. Very very close, like maybe hair or two thickness difference. Might see if that body can be shaved a little on the inside to fit.

Definitely not. Ions used a donut thingy that threaded about halfway through.

You know, you might just be able to file down that lip in the Warrior body with a cheap bastard file from Home Depot.

EDIT: I'm not 100% certain, but I think the XE went to metric hose barbs. So you'll need m4, not 10/24 or whatever Ions were. You'll want to double check. My eNMEy's are metric. I think the XE was the generation that started that.

I have an ion, and a gen 1 and 2 eNMEy. I can take photos if you'd like. They may not be 100% identical, but should be close enough for reference.

Classic ion the breach and can separate by unscrewing them. The XE it is one single unit. The only part that unscrews is the BOB cap.
