So I've got a couple of Ions that I picked up as part of a gearbag sale, figured I'd turn them into mechs. I've got two of the ssc kits ready to go, as well as two of the dual oring shocktech bolts. I was getting the first one fitted out yesterday, got everything together and put air to it. No leaks, but the bolt shoots forward and stays there. The tank I was using had low air, I was only getting about 140 ish psi out of the regulator. I'm getting more air today and will test with full tanks, but this seems odd to me? I double-checked everything, all the connections are in the right place and the switch is not depressed. Does the bolt need a certain amount of back-pressure to overcome the forward pressure on the bolt sail?

Did you replace all the orings? Could be the bolt is sticking to an old o ring. Unlikely, but worth a shot if everything else is good. The way a spool operates, if there's the same amount of pressure in the front and rear chambers, the bolt should go back. It still should cycle at 140psi. Also worth checking the front chamber banjo, see if it is plugged up.

Its basically the same pressure. Its a biased spool, so pressure on the front should overcome the back. Input air.
If you pull the front fitting is air getting through your smav3?
It should essentially give air until you pull the trigger. Then it cuts air off and let's your gun vent. Releasing should re apply air.
Also. You didn't get the bolt stop in backwards did you? just a random thought. I don't think I know how ions act if you did.

As suspected, the issue was a pinched hose. Thanks Jordan for the diagnosis, and also JeeperCreeper for the pen spring trick... worked like a charm! She's shooting like a champ.
