Thinking about picking one up to use as a 2nd marker/backup to my xts. Any big problems I should know about besides the recall? Other questions: is the mech frame easy to find for it? What’s the most I should pay for one? How is it compared to something like a syx 1.5? Thanks guys! Hope everyone is having a great Saturday !

lemme start by saying my rsx is still probably my favorite "mech".
They are just essentially a nice tooless ion engine, but that being said. they shoot well.
I broke 3 screens pressing the on off button and eventually found a mech frame for mine. When the screen breaks, I';m talking the plactic protective bit. the top part of it wraps arouns a screw, and is the back bone support for the power button. Eventually I'd blow that out. I LOVE the mech frame.
I have no clue what they are worth, I wouldnt pay more than 220 for one. I'm still hoping to pick up a dust black one from someone one day. I have custom accents hoarded just to use with one.

I had a CVO frame on an XLS (same as RSX but slightly bigger, feels great in the hands and I definitely recommend), and its probably the best feeling trigger out there. Not the most efficient, but I really liked it, as I've been into Ions since their release, and this is basically the most advanced version of a mechanical Ion.

I played with an RSX as my main shooter for years. Stock, electro… the only thing I can really say is it’s a battery hog, but beyond that, I loved everything about it.
It never gave me any issues, felt great in hand, and I think they look really sleek too. I only sold it because I got bored after years of using it…
I held an AMP, and I’ve never been one to notice “balance,” before this point, but everything about the AMP felt horrible.
I’ve owned and the SFT, NXT, RSX, and Adrenaline CVO (and it’s electro counterpart, that now escapes me.) and the RSX was by far my favorite.
I don’t know anything about the mech frame, however… best of luck though! They’re great little shooters.

One thing that was kind of a bummer for me when I had the xls/cvo combo was that the frame change, specifically the routing of the eye wires, seemed kind of janky and was a pain in the ass. If you’re used to working on older guns, it’s not any worse than you’re used to. But compared to a lot of the new ones it’s annoying.

How similar are the RSX internals to the XLS/CVO? I noticed that it's possible to buy spare bolts for the RSX but good luck finding one for the XLS

CVO/XLS are the same. RSX is different. They function The same
Era vs amp vs gamma
I recently picked up an ERA just to shoot it next to my AMP. Below represents light backyard testing, I have not played a game but did shoot paint. Here are some things I found. The whole bolt assembly is a direct swap. I was able to use the ERA bolt in an AMP if you remove the oring pictured in the PINK box I was able to

I've seen conflicting info online about XLS/RSX bolt compatibility. Some places I've read that it's the can that is the big differentiator. There is actually a recent post on PBN saying they are interchangeable...are they conclusively incompatible?
