Pneumatic Assist Tippmann?

Hello everyone, I am wondering if anyone has, or knows of, a project where someone used a Pneumag-like system on a Model 98 type marker? My main question is if you held the trigger and the MPA-3 was held forward, would the marker reset or go into some sort of full-auto sputtering? I know you can hold back the trigger on the standard M98 but is that due to the interesting design of the trigger or will the sear not care?

If you are asking "Why?" (a very fair question) it is because I have a project in mind that a pneumatic option would be much easier to work with than a mechanical linkage.

If you acted on the sear in the same way the factory trigger does, it would still reset the sear. The problem with that would be fitting anything in that area. It would need to be set up in a way that once its triggered it can't be reset until the trigger is released.

Looking at it again, I believe the spring-loaded metal clip on the trigger itself must get depressed by the sear upon reset, allowing the trigger to be held back but still having the sear set. Perhaps a modified trigger run by an MPA-3 might be the quick/dirty way to go.

A TMC might have more room inside the grip frame for pneus, if you first installed the rear asa air kit. This kit relocates the air transfer pipe out of the grip frame, to a rear butt stock asa instead

I am not making a "sleeper" in-frame setup but that is good to know.

Ya, whatever you have acting on the sear will have to reset before the bolt completes its cycle in order to be semi. Pneumags can do this because a mag sear is always up and ready to catch the bolt before the on/off is opened. The better comparison (not 100%) would be pneucockers.
