It's a solid theory at least I don't particularly see any problem with your logic and if they're willing to send you free parts you might as well try those

I'm wondering if you just happened to get a super magnet in there or something

I got the trigger in today. Makes no difference. I tried it as it came and also tried adjusting it a bit and it makes no difference. The only other thing I could think of is adjusting how far out the board sits. I'll probably be selling this as mech only.

Reading back through this and I caught this. Maybe it's nothing but to me, if the marker is giving you two different readings on the same battery, to me that says battery/connection issue

So, trbo's latest theory: there's something in the tolerances of the frame that is off. This is causing an intermittent battery disconnect. This would also explain why it's happening with basically 2 different boards/triggers/selector switches

So try this, remove the battery, by hand and so the battery is still out of the frame, press it to the contacts on the board. See if you can get it to do the same thing

Also, stuff something under the battery while it's still in the frame, piece of foam, cardboard, folded up paper so the battery pushes harder into the contacts

See if you can get the marker to replicate the same symptoms in each of those

Thanks but I don't think so. I had the same thought early on and tried shimming the battery with cardboard. I'm not sure if the battery is getting different readings or if it's draining very quickly. A fresh battery is going from full (green) to change soon (orange) within a few hundred cycles of the solenoid.

What brand of batteries are you using

It's cursed, that's all the is to it.

I'll keep thinking on this. Sometimes my brain thinks up something overnight like that

I'm not sure if this will work or not but, can you turn the marker on and then remove the selector switch from the frame?

Got back to this again. No, the selector can't be removed with the board on because it is what turns the board on.

It only seems to turn off when the solenoid is being energized. Held the trigger down and pulled it for several minutes with the eyes on and the board didn't turn off.
