So I've been wondering for awhile if it would be possible to make an a1 out of mostly parts online, I've found a full body kit of an a1 fly, rams, lprs, there definitely enough boards out there, a few solenoids, but certain parts seem impossible to find, like breech rods or plugs, it's in away tempting to try something like this but I'm not really sure yet, seems fun still

the thought has crossed my mind. But even if you were to buy all the parts on rock-auto to build an entire car, it'd still be cheaper to buy a complete used model...
and you'll most likely be missing the little odds and ends that no one sells.
buy the cheapest used A1 and go to town on it. have fun tearing into it without remorse; knowing that when you put it back together, you'll know every inch of it and you can fix the issues that need to be fixed.

OP, unless you were given most of the parts for nothing, I can't see how this would be worth it. If you want the experience of resurrecting one, that's another matter.

I wouldn't suggest a standard A1. The Fly at a minimum, and the SB if you really want the "last and good" thing.
Would absolutely suggest finding this as a whole and working marker. Look for one with a quality rebuilt ram already in it.
The stock asa is generally trash/trashed. The stock feednecks sometimes close right....
