I started working on these about a year and a half ago, but outside forces and a stiff workload at times, kept me from being able to chase them down as quickly as I'd have liked.
I was asked in another thread about them, and since I had some new parts getting ready for molding anyway, I whipped up a small prototype mold. I just pulled the first ones this morning, and had a chance to test 'em:
So far it looks like they work great. Two full hoppers without a chop, break or misfeed. I'll be sending some out for more thorough testing on Monday, since, as you can see from the video, our playing season is still a few months out.
Once I've gotten some feedback from those testers, I'll make up a proper production mold, and start producing however many you gents might need. (Yes, I'll have both 1-piece and 3-piece cover detents.)
It's the same 2-part polyurethane I use for the Intimidator/Spyder detents that I've been making by the ton for like seven years now. It's more flexible than the original detent material, which should help them last longer and resist "taking a set" better.
