How do you haul your gear to the field

I have a feeling I am not alone on this site as someone who takes way to much crap to the field. Normally I bring atleast 8 markers (main pump, back up main pump, back up back up main pump, a few cockers, a few mags, a couple of stock class and whatever new thing I just built) as well as the marker peripherals, 2-3 masks and lots of other crap I rarely pull out of the bags.

My normal carrying method is an old paintball bodybags duffle with all the tanks, masks, loaders, tools, barrels, packs, etc and a second duffle or two with the markers all in their own exalt cases. The problem is, other than having more stuff than I ever use, that these bags take 2 men and a boy to carry.

As the title says, how do you all carry your stuff and how much do you take?

For the record, my day usually goes like this: play first outing with newly built thing, switch to cocker or mag for second outing, get shot and get mad then switch to a 30 year old sniper 2 and destroy for the rest of the day.

Hockey bag and some smaller plastic totes. I always bring too much crap was well. Usually several of my own guns and then sets for 3-4 others depending on what gear so have on hand. The hockey bag is good for masks and soft gear the odd gun and air tanks. I have a tool bag that will fit 2-3 guns as well.

I usually spend all them time getting my lender gear chrono’d and ready to go so I’m rushed to get myself on the field or just miss the first round altogether. My local fields are rarely ready to go with the chrono so kinda annoying getting all the different guns ready.

Huge file bin I got at Staples. Bought it for work to keep my files in the car....doesn’t fit standard hanging files so it’s useless for work....now it’s my paintball field bin. Can handle about 1/4 of what I brought with me for every outing. Never know when you need a back up, or a loaner, or a loaner back up, or a back up loaner....or a mag fed.....oh, and maybe I’ll play with my pistol today...

I have a rolling tool chest with a collapsible handle that I'm able to fit everything but my mask and chosen marker of the day into. Fits perfectly in my trunk, locks for when I'm out playing and is nice and sturdy. My step dad passed it down to me back in high school so I don't know where he got it, but I'd guess either Harbor Freight or Home Despot.

I use an old Dell laptop briefcase. Three markers, a barrel kit, 13/3k, 45/45, 12 gram changer and 12ies, feed tube, tools/lube/etc. Everything I need except ten rounders and a mask (which go in the small backpack I also bring).

I see a consistent theme of people bringing WAY too much stuff to the field. I know a guy like that. I try to either encourage him to bring less stuff, or I try to make him feel bad that out of ALL the stuff he brings, sometimes none of it will work right. So far I have been unsuccessful with either approach. He knows who he is, so I wont name names....

I'll second the bring less stuff option. Decide what you'd like to play with that day, and just bring those, and maybe some Uber reliable backup (phantom, mag, Emek, Tippmann, etc) if what you'd like to play with isn't the most reliable. Maybe bring a variety of guns in case the other patrons aren't as kosher as you'd like, and can boost your firepower.

I got a rolling bag and I’m never going back. Big enough to fit all my stuff and I don’t have to carry it. I keep a bungee cord in it for strapping a case to the top if I have extra paint cause I’m not carrying that either.

I have a big GI rolling bag - it fits 4-5 markers, 4-5 tanks, hoppers, pads, a couple of masks, pods, packs. This covers most days. Then I have a few small soft gun bags if I bring another marker or two.

Was out there today and had to bring all my gear since my son’s friends wanted to play so that was 8 guns, 6 masks, 7 tanks, lots of packs, etc. Most of it fit into the rolling bag but I also brought out an old duffel bag. That way it’s just two bags - I don’t mind the weight but don’t like having too many small bags to keep track of.

Thought I was insane paying $200+ to roll gear to the field. Until I used it, and found how much stuff I was actually able to bring. Now I am also a freak and want individual cases for my super nice guns, but to have everything on one case, I love it. I can keep all I need including a few small cases on top all in one go. I now have a separate "file folder" style bag to house lots of guns, but literally everything else rolls in the big bag. Pop it in the truck bed, roll to the field, pop the tailgate and get ready to play.

I carry my gear in a Construction Garbage bag. I wrap my markers I want to keep nice up in an oversized micro I use to keep my mask clean when I play. I have a bunch of different gear bags to but most of the time it’s just in a Black thick mil garbage bag. Works great for keeping the car clean to, I throw it all in wet muddy, stinky tie it up and wash it wen I get home. I turn the bag inside out each time and knock the mud off it and reuse it they last a long time.

Mostly toolbags, various gearbags, the occasional old laptop bag, whatever I have handy. My main one is an antique TASO gearbag that after at least 25 years is still holding up remarkably well.

But, that said, I have always wanted to make a slide-out rack that comes out the back of an SUV, like the Ghostbusters' proton-pack rack that slide out of the back of the Ectomobile.

Have about a dozen clips that hold a complete marker (with tank, loader and barrel) so you can roll it out, pick the one you want, and roll it back in.

'Course, that only "works" if you can park your truck in the staging area. It's hard to impress people if the truck is way back in the parking area.

I am also firmly in the camp of "Bringing way too much stuff", mainly for two reasons. 1: There is ALWAYS the need for 4-6 loaners on the field I am playing. Not that I am complaining, I am one of the guys behind the way the field is run, and we all have a better day if newbies get good gear. 2: I always have several guns that needs to be tested, and/or test played for the day.

Currently I am hauling the stuff in a couple of large army bags, several individual guncases, a separate large bag for all the tanks, etc, etc. My main gripe however isn't the carrying of the stuff, but the time it takes me to set everything up, since most new players will not be able to. I don't mind the hassle as such, but I would like for the process to run smoother. I have toyed with the idea to assemble everything the evening before, but haven't yet come up with a proper carrying method for 6-8 assembled markers.

Yes, I find getting lender gear all tuned up for play takes a huge amount of time. I have a chrono and though about chronoing the night before so they should be good to just play with the next day but I never have enough air. Think I’ll be getting a large scuba tank to solve this issue.

When i was still playing a lot i would usually take a couple of big plastic totes with as much as i could fit in them & still be able to carry. After my playing time scaled way back i got to the point where i could fit just about everything i cared to take in a JT Gearsack. I eventually decided that if both my main & backup guns gave me trouble that i couldn’t take care of on the spot that i would just be done for they day.
