the rentals shoot it fine. Why wouldn't your marker do the same?

my stbb and inlines never break paint unless its garbage quality (dimpled af or swelling and turning soft). I shoot marbalizer out of them fine (not the old kind). Do not shoot brittle shell "tournament" grade paint. But in my experience only legitimate tourney paint like valken redemption pro or ultra evil is actually brittle. Everything else shoots out of anything i put it through. My stingray and my tigershark and my raptor never breaks paint so why should anything else. Nothing gets more harder on paint than a Brass Eagle! .

Cant say my old blowbacks have paint issues and I typically use D3fy or Marbs. The Tippy pushed out 500ish balls this weekend and I had a few "rips" with it and didnt break a single one.
      Velcor will save us...

Come to think of it. My carbines never been crazy bad on paint. The A5s I had were a tad harsh especially with the RT. I broke a bit of paint with my Automag when I first got it all those years ago but that was more user error (short stroking).

Only time I had truly bad day with paint i was breaking in everything I had even a lvl 10 x valved mag. The only thing that seemed to shoot that paint OK was the SL68II and even then only if I was very slow and deliberate cocking it (I’m sure my Azodin KPII would have done better but the reg tossed an irony that day). I Ended up giving half the case to a guy shooting a axe and he had issues breaking it too so I didn’t feel so bad.

Pick appropriate paint and you can have a fun shooting any of your favs.

Well that's why. You're shooting rock hard paint.

I've been building a Spyder Aggressor to have something fun to dink around with new players. Has a Bob Long frame, HPR, and a bunch of little upgrades to make it more useable. STBBs are definitely fun guns, and they can be very effective on the field. But let's be honest, it's a platform that has more or less lived out its usefulness.

Not sure I would go with "rock hard" since I've seen the cheapy rental paint bounce off of the stone cave walls. But I get your point.

Marbs is pretty rock hard, but I've had cases of d3fy so fragile it was breaking in pods and hoppers all day.... Really think it just depends on your location and how it's stored there. I'm sure there is a lot of variance batch to batch too.

They are most deffinetly out dated yes. But out lived their usefulness kinda sounds like blasphemy on this forum of all places lol.

This is the home of out dated. Between Brass, mags and cockers. There all platforms that are outshone by the modern stuff in most every way.

But if what you like to shoot is one of those or a blow back, they have far from out lived their usefulness.
AGD 68 Automag, AGD ULE 68 Automag, Azodin KPII, Tippmann SL68II, Umarex TR50.

That's a great looking old rig there. I have a Pro Carbine in there left over from some bag buys that is a great shooter for CO2. I posted recently about my experience setting up a classic mag for it as well. There is something certainly lost in translation when having concern about freezing your rig ISN'T on your mind...lol.

It had been a minute since I played with CO2 (not counting 12g) and it sure does have that special something that brings back the old flavor of the game.

It took me way too long to come to that realization. It wasn’t until the core group of guys i had played with for years drifted away from the sport & i started to just show up to play on my own. Time was, if i didn’t dominate i didn’t enjoy myself. A while back i ended up needing to use a BT Combat i had actually bought as a loaner. I have to say that it was as much fun using that as I’ve ever had using the umpteen dozen mid-high end electrons I’ve used over the years.

My 98C is still one of my most favorite markers to shoot. They got that trigger pull just so right. I don't use it every time I play, but I always have it with me. It's basically stock, with a Cyclone feed, and I bring it along in case everything else I try to use fails (which has happened a few times). It always gases up. It always shoots. And it doesn't need any stinking batteries to do it's job well.

That's exactly the way I feel about my Pro Carb. Well, except the 20lb trigger pull. lol
The damn thing just works & does it so well. If I had to sell off every other marker I own but one, that would be on my short list of ones to pick from. My Trilogy & sniper would be on there... But that Pro Carb has been one of the longest mainstays in my inventory for good reason.
        Working...
