    What’s your unobtanium?

So what’s the gear you have always wanted that just never seemed to come your way.

For me almost from the start I always wanted a AGD Emag. The original with stainless Center feed body. But they were always just too expensive for me to justify when dumping cases of paint with electronics was never my interest. I always settled for building awesome mech only mags. But the thought of one gun that was both mech and electro with a simple key seemed so cool. These days I still never have owned an Emag. But I do have a Tippmann crossover that accomplishes the same feat. And it is really cool and has some what quenched my desire for a Emag. See it turns out, I really don’t care to use the electronics all that much lol.

These days I think more of I should get a cocker of some sort. I started playing in the hay days of the mags cockers and early angles. I opted for a Mag as my first high end falling for there easy maintenance small size etc. Thought about getting a cocker or sniper many times but always just stuck with my mags. Perhaps one day I will scratch this itch but man they are pricy AGAIN.
AGD 68 Automag, AGD ULE 68 Automag, Azodin KPII, Tippmann SL68II, Umarex TR50.

Those are sweet, at least as a cool thing to look at.

There is a few for me ...
I'm not a cocker guy (not electro), but I've always wanted a osiris with the rocker trigger ...

after that, a KP is definitely up there ...
I got lucky to find some, and I made a lot of them now ... Still have a few to go ...
Love my brass ... Love my SSR ... Hard choices ...

I've owned my 2 unobtaniums. Avratech Falcon, and a Chris Shanks Spine autococker. Sold the Falcon, still have the spine. But it will probably be up for sale once I finish building it. Been fortunate, I guess, to be really bad with money haha.

For me it's the Perfect Nelson pump.

Plenty out there, in assorted configurations, but none are Perfect.

I want the body and frame to be quality metal construction.
        Autococker threading.
BORE DROP. Very important to me, no outdated breach drop designs.
Choice of feed configurations. Vertical, right/left feed, stock class variations.
Choice of air configurations. Don't limit me to one with some unnecessary hoseless design.
        Undercocking pump option.
        .45 Grip option.

What's really frustrating is how close some setups get. Phantom would be perfect, if someone made bore drop cocker threaded bodies and internals. PRP has the bore drop, cocker threading, .45 grip, and all metal part down, but the ONLY vert feed and ONLY bottom line throws it right out the window. Empire Trracer gives me the cocker threads and bore drop, and has a couple feed options and a fairly standard and customizable back bottle ASA and mounting screws on the bottom of the grip for whatever wacky setup I eventually come up with, but not the quality full metal construction (plus they're getting almost impossible to find).

Everything is just not quite right. Drives me nuts some times.

Breech drop lets the hopper be closer to the shooter, so its not quite as long out the front like a tippmann 98. In this way, the breech drop is better than a bore drop. Convince yourself the the breech drop is better and enjoy the phantom my friend.

Yeah, no. Breech drop means the ball has to go UP a step when feeding. So you get issues when using a force feed, a generally less smooth pump, a mag fed first strike version is nearly impossible, and depending on the design they have a nasty tendency to pull the insert out of a Freak barrel (Phantoms of course have a lip to prevent this, not so on other breech drop nelsons). All for maybe an inch shorter body, not worth it. This is of course subjective, and to each their own, but every breech drop pump I've handled has just felt wrong to me. I grab my Kingman Hammer, and it just feels right to me (just missing the higher end features I desire).

        I uh. I don't know anymore.

I spent a solid... 8-9 years hunting the Armson Semi. I just got one

Maybe an Armson Semi 2? that's like. Serious unobtanium status, though it seems that if I throw the right numbers around I can start to get people interested in talking... problem is that's a LOT of money that I don't have

Cotton candy evo slipped through my fingers years ago. But my gear itch has pretty much been scratched.

I just need a great case of paint and a day at the field with the boys

I had one of those before the cocker craze sold it cheap on eBay after I fixed and rebuilt it. Not sure if it was mine but one got raffled off on BookFace for a lot of scratch. I was kicking myself for not holding onto that one.

Probably not. The one I was chasing was on Stock class paintball.com prior to 2010.

A phantom I actually enjoy using..... I've owned double digit phantoms and only kept one I won for a prize and two early classics. I have owned 6 stock class ones and disliked most of them. Funny thing is I want to enjoy them but they just miss a mark for me.

Same here ... Though it was pump Nelsons (I LOVE semi nelson) but I recently fell in love with an old bushmaster (fixed barrel and crosman frame)

I had a VSC phantom years ago in an acid wash green. Hands down one best looking markers I have ever owned. Thought I’d love it. But never could gel with it. Part was it was almost too light. The other part was I just suck at Stock class

Think often about picking up another for open class but always talk myself out of it as my SL68II treats me well. And now that my Azodin KPII projects complete. It will be taking over for my open class pump play.

But neither of those look half as Purdy as that old phantom.

Im on the hunt for an original Dave Loo Kamikaze Shooter DD68 stock class with the slam changer. That’s my next unicorn bucket list banger.

Maybe a Karta mag I can make Mech event compliant. But finding a nice single trigger frame for them seems hard. Karta body’s have gotten to the price point I should just have a custom one machined. So I don’t think I will ever own one. I need it Mech compliant or I won’t use it because I don’t shoot semi in rec.

CCM T2 Full Body Right Feed in Type III Hard Anodizing (grey with all the irregularities of Type III). I know at least one exists because Bacci did a video on it. Doubt it [or another like it] will come available when I have the loose cash to make an offer on it.
