Its not about shooting fast, its about not dry firing, especially with a pump. That shot needs to be there. I love my rev. But since I have been shooting stick feeds so much, the hopper feels huge so i built a 100 rd rev.

This exactly. I actually run a rotor to force feed my pump, not only does it ensure there is a ball there under normal shooting conditions, it also feeds even if I am holding the marker at some strange sideways angle which is frequently necessary on the fields I play on.

Then again, I am not a subtle sit and wait kind of pump player. I tend to be the farthest man forward and shoot a lot and I don't use autotrigger. That being said, if I could get a force fed sportshot, I would run it.

I like 200 ball hoppers for pumps. VL 200, and now I like the newer empire ones that aren't as classic looking but are a lot sleeker. I have a proto primo which I think seems great but is a lot taller than the empire 200 ball hopper.

I wish there was a non motorized hopper with just a 1 way gated feed to keep balls in stack when you're running around. Otherwise I enjoy the simplicity and low weight of non motorized pump despite the minor drawbacks in other areas

It sounds bad but I run a Rotor on my Series 5 because it's just really nice knowing that no matter how spastically I pump the gun it'll load a ball and not chop.

On slower shooting pumps like the Phantom or Illusion I'll run anything from a mini Winchester to a VL Revolution

I'd argue that revvys on pumps are a waste of time when you can use a GOG or PBDNA gravity feed hopper. A force feed might be a good idea if you have a fast auto trigger.

You guys should seriously try PBDNA’s hoppers before to Wright off Good old shake N bakes. I love not having to rely on batteries and my JoLo has no issue keeping my modified EMek fed. That thing will out shoot even the fastest Gorilla Armed AT junkie with a pump. For something so simple technology has improved since the days of the oil can duck taped to a copper elbow.

How do they hold up to impact forces? I know that was one thing the 3d printed shoe loaders were having. Any delamination issues?

I used to use a Revy but now I am primely using the smaller PALs hopper also Pewpewpew use to use a electronic loader with his pump but a few people thought he was over shooting people

I had never heard of these Jolo hoppers before. Is there any place that these don't cost $50? Is that what everyone's paying?
Seems like a nice hopper, but I was surprised at the price.

Agree, I have been close to ordering before but then decided it's just a bit much for me. They seem to feed amazingly well.

They are not cheap I agree. Then again people drop that on a Winchester like nothing. But these don’t need to be modified they have a great shape for deflecting paint they feed awesome, and when they get shot you don’t crush the paint on the inside. The feedneck is durable and fits in most feednecks it’s got sprung lid with magnetic retention. It’s a got a shelf built in so it keeps the weight off the stack and little dimples that change the way the paint sits so it falls into the feedneck consistently. It’s got a lot of cool features that really work well. It’s a great product I’m really impressed with it I retired my Winchester myself.

PBDNA stuff isn't cheap, but in my experience it's much stronger than a lot of comparable products. I have had a bunch of his printed stick feeds and I've only been able to break one cram & jam so far. I'll probably grab a JOLO eventually, but I agree that dropping $50+ on a little gravity hopper hurts my wallet a bit.

Id love to live somewhere this was a debate or problem, lol. Basically any and all pump play in the PacNw is pump vs electro-semi. I run stock class but man, yeah, throw a agitated hopper on top why not.

I'm probably going to run a halo on my pump next time. I didn't like dry fires from my gravity hoppers at certain positions.

IMO, there's no need for an electronic loader, or even a 200rd grav feed, on a pump. For me, the main draw of playing pump is playing with less weight. Batteries and a motor kill that for me. However, I can maybe, possibly, kinda-sorta see the "need" for a 9V Revvy if you're using autotrigger regularly. If I were to use an electronic loader on a pump it'd be that.

I think the majority of players don’t know how to set up a shake and shoot.

1. You can’t overfill it. Paint needs needs room to move around. Fill a 50 round hopper with a “50round pod” that actually holds more like 60-65 paintballs you are going to jam. With a 200 rounder wait until it’s almost completely empty to dump a 140 in it.

2. Last ball in the hopper stack needs to be half in the feedneck half out. This prevents jams when two balls sit against each other. It slows or stops a good feed. You may need to rase the hopper in the feedneck to do this.

3. Don't cut your feednecks longer the stack, the faster the feed. This is why cut winchesters feed like crap.

This is very solid advice. When I shoot pump it's usually with a 100rd Sportshot that I reload with 50rd tubes. When set up & used properly they feed just fine.

I don't see a need for an electronic loader because I used the GoG Multi-Call hopper. It keeps up when using the auto-trigger at 5-6bps without a hiccup. I've tried the PBDNA mojo (uses Revvy guts) and found I greatly still prefer the Multi-Cal. My buddy runs a Rotor on his MVP sometimes and doesn't understand why it doesn't shoot right...

I put the Empire reloader 2 guts in an old revy shell and use it exclusively on my trracer, sniper, and sterling. I've had missed shots with shake and shoots when I really get pumping, but not now!

For open pump, I always use a Winchester. I prefer the size and weight. I just feel slow snapping with a bigger hopper... probably need to work on my obliques.

If the Spire comes out, it'll have a gmek or g6r attached to it.

But its hard for me to want to have 3 special pods to replace 1x 140 round pod just because I want the hopper a tiny bit smaller. So I use the empire and regular pods.
