West coast big games

So my team is thinking of branching out a little, we typically hit oregon supergame each year but are wondering what other big games are within driving distance for us. I know sooner may not run because of covid but what games are typically on the west side that are worth checking out?

As for big games in California the ones I can think of off the top of my head are Decay Of Nations, Tet Offensive, North VS South, we used to have Dead Legends, and of course SPEW/FEW was a thing I dont know what the future holds for those two, but they were some of the funnest times I've had in my paintball career, my home field has 11 acres that host 'big games', last year I helped ref an event called Cartel Wars(a Magfed only event it happenning again this July) also they did an event called Endgame in December not too sure on if there will be an Endgame 2 this year. My brothers and me are gonna host a hopper/gravity fed game on June 12th there but that's more of a 'we're building a 10man hyperball so let's break it in with some good pump/mech games'

Talk to me about decay of nations, I've heard of it but I don't know too much about it

Ive never attended it, my brothers and me have talked about it but never made the trip, but I got this ripped from their website, I belive the games are Saturday and Sunday with you being able to arrive Friday

Decay of Nations is one of the biggest 24 hour scenario games in the world. DON will be celebrating its 14th anniversary, at the world famous SC Village, focused on providing one of the best games at the best fields, this is definitely one event you don't want to miss. With over 2,000 players gathering from around the world for one of the most iconic west coast paintball battles, including tanks, missions, 1 hour battles, vendors, live music, giveaways and closing ceremony with over $50,000 in prizes given away.

I haven't been to a Decay in a few (10?) years. The first ones were pretty nice events. Thoroughly enjoyed my first few. The last one I was at was held in mid august and was over 100*. There was a little bit much LARPing for me and my crew but we ignored that and played on. Pricing is a bit steep, I think. All of that being said, the event has been moved later in the year when temps are lower which should help significantly. Also, there aren't any other big games near SoCal to play.

Not a big game but y'all should really check out High Desert Scenario in Bend. Its player leased, player operated. Its a huge mock city in the desert, thee coolest field in Oregon with the only exception being Sniperz Den. Apart from SG or other big games, I drive to this field almost exclusively for paintball -- about 5-6 hours away because I'm on the coast of Oregon. They are on FB -- Check them out, plenty of awesome media there.

Their bigger games draw 100-150 players - not a big game, but I promise its a fun one. You can camp at the field too!

June 12th is Black Ops event at Splat Action in Mollalla OR. It been many years (10+) since I attended an event at Splat Action, but I use to go to the Civil War WA vs. OR every year there and it drew alot of players and was really well ran, I thought. I have done super game several times (including 3 days ago, lol) and that one is amazing fun.

And hey, that June 12th event includes a pig roast in the entry fee! haha

Yeah, I've been thinking about giving them another shot. The last time I went there (5 ish years at this point) I had some major major safety concerns and have not been back as a result. Some other members here echoed my concerns in regards to one of their events (ref took off a players mask on the field to clean it)

I've heard a few positive things as of late so I'm thinking of giving them another shot, probably not for a big game though

As far as I know there will be a Fall Event West this year ( Gilly just posted on his FB page) although no date has been posted...Also he said there will be Mech only games..Ifo is limited at this time, but expect it to be a big one ..
Decay hovers around 2-3 hundred people and its a weekend game with camping...It a nice event , lots of venders and Bacci's museum.. ....

I'm personally not a huge fan of Decay of Nations. It's very expensive and I find them to be a bit shady. (What immediately comes to mind is when they swapped the premium paint from 5-Star/Evil to Graffiti on the day of the event.)

Not to say that I'll never go again, but Supergame is SUCH a better experience.
