Some of you may have seen my postings on the FB concerning this issue.
Luke AO (Customs) offered forth a little challenge to see how fast we could get a T-Rex pneumag to go. I was in the midst of testing this, marker is rolling +20 for sure...sounded like a little pneumatic chisel....So, ran the pressure up to 1100 for said test and BOOM! The POPS Macrofitting broke AT the threads. I knew they weren't rated that high, but figured there was some wiggle room. Big Evil comes in thread (on the AGD group) to mention that the WORKING pressure for these ASA and fittings are 300 PSI, with a BURST of 800.
I know a shit load of people are using these at far higher pressure and I myself have run the other one I have at 1100 PSI for MANY games.
So...for the first part of my question/post:
I completely planned the bottomline look of this build around this POPS. The frame is slotted for it, the ano is a good match....but I have ZERO confidence in it moving forward.
What other bottomlines have the air fitting come straight out the front, have the ability to turn on/off, and use a standard fitting size such that I "could" use braided if I wanted to? I DO NOT want to use the Inception ASA unless there is simply no better option. (nothing against them).
So, second part of the post:
AS I was testing this, and as mentioned, the marker was shooting like a little air chisel and while doing so caused the fiber part of my DW barrel to back itself away from the metal threaded part. I have contacted DW just to see how or if it's repairable.
Not sure the photo aspect is working properly yet....I can readily post them to the FB page if you 'need' to see what I am talking about....
Glad to see the place back, BTW.
