How do you choose what markers go with you?

Something I always have trouble with his figuring out what markers to take to the field each time I play. It's the "Sophie's Choice" of paintball. This was easy when I only had 2-3 markers, as I would just take all of them. Now that I have about eleven options to choose from, quite meager by MCB standards, it's kind of frustrating. All of my markers are users and get some trigger time during the year, so there's no wall hangers to ignore. I regularly take them out and mess around with them, try different setups, test fire and make sure they're nicely cleaned and oiled, etc. I pick each one up and think, "man, this thing is great! This HAS to go with me next time I play." I remember everything I like about their particular design and history, how I acquired them, or what memorable games I've had with them. I honestly can't imagine having more options to choose from than I already have!

How do you guys choose what markers go to the field with you?

I like to take one that will absolutely work, one that will be fun to use and should probably work, and one that I’m going to work on while I have access to air fills and probably won’t end up getting to use.

I then ignore everything but the one that will absolutely work.

The LV1 and CVO have nice new little cases they came in and fit perfectly in the gear bag and work every time so they always go.

I then grab a 3rd gun out of the collection just in case it's a slow day at the field or there are only renters to play with. Usually an open or stock class pump.

I bring my #1; The dust Black Shocktech Tremor series sniper.

I bring an electro, usually my Karnivore, but that has been replaced by my Marq.

A backup electro, my PM7 comes along.

I have an Azodin Kaos that will now see duty as a mech backup.

However many nelspots are in the gear bag, 1-3 depending, the PTSC goes to everything that isn't SC only, if it's a big game or scenario type I bring an electro or three, and then I bring a bunch of random shit to share with whatever friends haven't seen it yet lmao.

Ah, the joys of being a minimalist...

I take two guns to the field, my CS1 and my Trilogy. That hasn't changed in years.

In the past it was I just brought damn near everything I own in multiple bins and just left most of it in the truck. The Automags and my Pro/Carbine have ALWAYS been the mains.

Going forward. I going to try slimming down. And just bring the four I have in the marker bags. My Azodin KPII and KDII. The ULE Automag. And the GOG eNMEy (my sisters marker, also gentlest on paint).
AGD 68 Automag, AGD ULE 68 Automag, Azodin KPII, Tippmann SL68II, Umarex TR50.

I play a lot of different formats so it’s highly dependent on what style of game I’m attending. I tend to shoot my phantom or stocker the most because they’re my simple, reliable tack-drivers

I keep my primary semi and a backup in one case. That usually goes with me regardless. After that, it depends on the event. I’ll often grab a little of this and a little of that if I think there may be a chance the day may go differently than I planned. This usually results in a full trunk of gear.

I just grab one I know is going to shoot well based on what field and type of play I have planned for the day.

One main shooter for the day (hopefully)
                      One backup

And something pretty to show off but then put back in the bag to rot.

I try to bring a workhorse ( my cvo'd rsx as of late), then 2 guns I want to use of random choosing depending on the day, and game atmosphere.

Then I usually have at least one thats a fresh stack up of components that I have to bring out to at least chrono. Soo needless to say, my mqnic packing creates a trashed paintball room.

Buy the most comicly large bag you can find and the bring an volume of markers that could equip the days entire rental crew. Is that not what everyone does?

This is the most MCB answer so far.

I usually bring as many as possible as I outfit friends and family. Multiple masks, guns and air tanks. A big ole’ stack of soft goods. Usually don’t make it onto the field for the first game as I’m getting everyone else ready and field never have the chrono station up and running early. Ended up giving gear to a bunch of family so I didn’t need to bring it myself.

I wouldn't be that weirdo who is always there right when the field opens if I weren't outfitting two or three other people every time. Whether I make the first game or not is usually a function of whether the loaner gear is giving me trouble, as my own personal load-out is pretty reliable.

My standard of packing is usually my four Mainstays.... Two modded emeks, my workhorse sto cocker, and my 05 black magic pump. They are permanent fixtures.

The 5th and six slot usually rotates to an electro just in case, an m170r, another cocker, or my mg100's depending on what the game/weekend is.

Old school events I drop my emeks and they swap out with a procomp vm68 and usually a funky relic gun....IE vector/armson Semi/perenti Badger.
