Switching Up A Custom Build - Pump to Mech

I’ve been planning on doing a custom build around a System X Dragon body. Grabbed a Slice pump kit, ID internals and was planning on getting a Nummech frame to complete by build, but that doesn’t seem to be happening, as you can’t buy one and who knows when they will be available again.

So now I am considering switching the build over to a mech build. I can get an ID hinge and 3-way and use the original LPR and ram from the System X as it was an electro, so should handle mech’ing just fine.

Right now I have a pump Karni and a pump 2k5 Black Magic, and FBM Teardrop mech with oracle pneumatics and an ID’d Ressi. Having a 3rd pump of similar type seems kinda redundant and I could sell off the Ressi and have a nice collect of useable guns and less common to see System X Dragons as mechs. And I’d like to build a fast mech out of it.

So before I drop $500 CAD on bits and pieces, anyone have any feedback or ideas? Am I barking on the wrong tree on part selection? Let me know!

I could be wrong, but didn't the System X's use proprietary front blocks?

Somewhat. Their LPR mounts in the centre. Should be no issue with using a ID 3-way in place of e-solenoid. I
