    Nerf rocket for paintball game

    Hello all,

Anyone uses the Nerf rocket for paintball game?
Could they make a safer/less heavy alternative than the foam ones?

They seam cheap (~$10+ for a 4 pack) and readily available.

I use toilet paper rolls stuffed with plastic bags and rolled in duct tape.

I use one of those to clean my havoc. But they run a little small and light for a havoc launcher, and get a little wonky on flight path.
If you find a better barrel sized to it great.
Also just like in paintball, bore match and weight help distance for the rockets, at least from my own testing. Also fin stabilization is a huge help.

      Nerf vortex aero
      JCS F-69
      Nerf vortex howler
      Kush Nation
      Garcia rocket

In order of shorter to longer distance launched.

Im thinking it could be a lighter/safer alternative to the high density foam ones. I took a vortex to the face at a big games a few years back, and it knocked me on my ass ...

most rocket are not ok on games, but if it flew less far/less hard it may change things around ...

I thought they were only for the tanks! Lol.

I understand that you could take an unlucky stray/miss... but these things aren't habitually used in an antipersonnel role, are they?
If you need to talk, I will listen. Leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I get it.

I've heard of them used for taking out rooms/buildings, as well as having a 'kill' radius.

They were supposed to be for tank or radius kill (a few feet from the rocket impact and you're You're out.
this one hit me right in the mask ... And I didn't break! Those mask really can take abuse hard.

I've been wanting to make a rocket launcher for a while, but looking for an alternative to the regular rocket ... This might be a good way to go.

I believe it would require something more advanced than foam round to enable proper anti-personnel (via kill radius) and anti-tank action without the need of a referee. A shot that is filled with some marking powder and is pretty fragile and safer compared to hard foam rounds. But it is difficult to design anything "universal" for launchers and tank guns.

Those things in the link from the first post do not fly well out of an air cannon. Short range, squirrelly flight path, & prone to disintegrating from the pressure. I've taken multiple hits from standard Nerf/Kush rockets, didn't think it was too bad. Left less of a welt than a lot of paintball hits. Wouldn't want a shot to the dingding, but then again I wouldn't want that from a paintball either.
