Well I'm not sure what's going on with my emails not getting through, so I've also tried sending a PM here for ya DocsMachine

I've tried the new email approach, didn't seem to work. Doc did explain that no replies often mean either no progress or too busy to check mail.
However, I'm just waiting for a tracking number.... I'm hoping I get the part before I try another email.

I also had trouble the first time I messaged you Doc. I thought I had the wrong email at first that’s why I messaged you threw MCB as well. They seem to be going threw for me now, and I did have the right email. But something might need an update. Your fire wall may be restricting certain email providers because I emailed you threw two different email accounts. Just don’t want you missing out on work because of it.

Oh that might be a possibility. I sent a few messages in reply that I did not hear back on. But I assumed the bear was just busy!

Sent a new email to ya Doc. Maybe the server is blocking multiple reply emails as Spam before you even see them.

I'm... not sure what's going on, as I have no reply yet from 'Zilla, and, while I don't know what your email address is, Riot, I was pretty sure I'd replied to every VT-related email I've received.
Can't really "check my spam folder", as spam is stopped at the server.

As usual, hoped to have a little more done this weekend than I managed, but hey, I've always been an optimist.
Got the other three of the first four bodies bored and the feed necks pressed in:
Then rebored and rereamed to of course remove the parts of both the plugs and the feed necks that protrude into the bolt bore.
And, of course I utterly forgot a trick I'd come up with the last time I made one of these, and meant to use on the next one: On these, I drilled and reamed to final bore size before the plug or feed neck were installed. What I should have done is bored to just undersize- the step before reaming- and then left it there 'til it was time to do the plugs and feed necks.
After those were in place, then final ream to size. Would have saved a few steps, and on this batch, probably three or four hours, total.
Anyway, Et voilá!
... Huh. I should make a sticker out of that.
Now, a confession: I, the Mighty Doc... made a mistake. My brain slipped out of gear momentarily and I almost mis-bored one feed neck:
I caught it in time, but it left a slight error that is not easily correctible. It does not affect the operation of the marker in any way, nor does it compromise the strength of the feed neck. It's purely cosmetic, and not very obvious.
However, I also can't easily fix it, I'd rather not start over, nor do I have a spare to swap over to. I am making one of these for myself, but that's the "mini" body I already had- no one wanted a mini, so I figured I'd just make it for myself.
If one of you gents, that are getting a standard full-sized body with back-block, can live with such an obvious and egregious error, I'll take $100 off your bill, OR, your choice, optionally offer $100 (or more) in additional work, such as a full polish job (which would usually be closer to $200) or additional cosmetic body milling.
Let me know at doc (at) docsmachine.com and I'll update your order as needed.
Anyway- as I said, I didn't have as much time as I wanted this weekend (who does? ) but one other thing I did take a moment to do was chop up some bar to start the front blocks...
And chopped, faced and centerdrilled enough Delrin rod to make bolts for these first four.
More to come!

Well, '11 would also be some seven years after I did my first one. Got any pics of the brass monster?
