I keep seeing laptop bags mentioned.

What sizes are you using? I like the idea - I'm looking at cases with separate pockets that should be great for holding barrels/parts kits/etc - but I'm not sure what to get. Do I get a 15"? 11"?

I'm working on getting better organized and trying to get away from the "duffel bag full of markers" approach. 🙂

Whatever size you need to store the marker of the size that it is

I only use one for my pump, everything else I used duct tape and an old memory foam mattress topper, cut the topper up and basically made a sleeve that holds 4 markers with padding in between each.

I use the big old ones that people used to haul around back in the early 2000s. Because coincidentally, that's when I got them.

It's the best storage system. I got a triple laptop case that holds 3 guns very securely and I can throw two beaters in the side pockets for a total of 5 guns.

Take your time and pick them up for cheap. Scout out yard sales or goodwill. Or, be like me and have a good friend who works in IT for the county. They literally throw these things out.

I should add that the smaller ones also fit markers just as well. But they have less padding.

I used the amazonbasics laptop sleeves of a size appropriate for each marker with the barrel removed. There are no extra pockets. This works for me since the tools/parts/barrels are typically shared amongst the various guns and I have dedicate storage separate from the markers. These sleeves come with a sheet of foam inside as packaging material, but I used them for additional padding for the guns that have a protrusion on one side (e.g. gauge, macro, etc).

I caught my wife trying to throw away a 15" laptop sleeve yesterday. Perfect size for a pump or cocker. Smaller ones are plenty for guns without an LPR or LPC. (My Borg lives in an iPad case.) I
I had to go to a 17" bag to fit my Phantom, though, due to the big UC kit and 12rd feed.
