My fiancee had to do an anatomy lab last semester that involved tapping people with a compass (the kind you use to draw circles). With each tap, she expanded the compass until you could distinctly feel two separate taps. Depending on which part of the body you were being tapped, it would take like 20mm aparts to feel two different taps.
