    Trimming the herd

Doing some cleaning and found a ton of my old paintball equipment. I probably haven't played in over five years, so I figure it's time to do a little trimming.

A few questions I was hoping you guys could help me with:
    1. With Mike having sold CCI, are parts still easily available? I see that the phantomonline website is set up, but doesn't look like they have any actual markers for sale, whereas Mike's old site had a pretty robust e-commerce site for all of the different parts, including things like spring and seal sets.
    2. Carter Machine also seems to have fallen off the edge of the earth. Any reliable suppliers for parts such as seals?
    3. I have a bunch of extra markers which I can't justify keeping. One is a Palmer Stroker that Punisher got his hands on. Another is a low-serial PPS Hurricane that I refurbished. Then there's a random pump cocker that I guess I bought for some bizarre reason. I know that the Stroker and Hurricane (last that I remember) held air, and fired correctly, since I completely re-sealed them myself. I've been out of the game for a long time, but is there a way to ballpark the price if I want to sell these? Is there even a market for these markers anymore? Too bad the old MCB forums are gone, otherwise I'd have an easy way to benchmark.

Carter Machine = Lapco 8/32 (spyder) Cupseal. That is a nugget of wizdom I learned from an old thread. Don't know if it applies to all of his guns, but it worked on a comp and a boxgun I had.

CCI is coming back, the company running it is slowly bringing back a stock of parts and full guns. Mike sold nearly everything when he retired, and building up enough stock for inventory is a large chuck of cash, and requires re-negotiation of all Mike's old contracts.

I sold off the last of my phantoms and have messaged the current owners of Phantom Online and they are active!! They kept me up to date when new springs arrived in (and I'm about to order some replacements).

However.. there seems to be new life with the marker builds, and they're priced.. a little more out of reach than what they originally were, but wow.. the new annos they're bringing in look epic!

I don't think I can justify a new phantom acquisition though after owned quite a few over the years and never really playing with them. (new build attached photo is $749 😲)

That price is specific to that special marker. It's supposed to be some special process that can never be exactly replicated. When and if it becomes available, basic black won't cost $750

Carter closed down shop and retired some years ago. I can't help you with specifics, but as nelsons, the wear parts should be pretty easy to replace

            Nice collection!

cci (or just phantom online now) is definitely still open. They’re very responsive I sent them an email asking them for a part and they had it shipped out to be within a day or two.

As a side note the phreak bored Barrels they’re currently selling work great with no issues

The redux guy can get you carter parts and support them. Rodney? I always get the redux man and the gargoyle guy confused.

Rodney is RTR/Gargoyle. Steve "Mongo" Brett is Redux. Last I had heard, Mongo was no longer doing or building paintball stuff.

Oh good to know! Is he going to come back to making Duckslides or Reduxes?
