    Flash Bang

Video about a couple of civilian available flash bangs. Wonder how Doc's seal bombs would compare.

As someone who was a victim of a (LE) flashbang in an enclosed stairwell, I highly recommend staying away from them or individuals who like to use them. Not fun!

As someone who was the thrower of an (LE) flash bang in a stairwell, They will mess you up.
We pretty much stopped using them on tiers and in cells, they would ring our bells too.

          Ultimate larp accessories...

Most fields have banned anything other than the airsoft bang grenades by me.

Wouldn’t recommend using those on a paintball field. You assault people expect to be assaulted back. I’m all for having fun but you fuck my hearing up get ready to catch it. Those are not toys.

Y’all want to pepper spray and blow each others ear drums out be my guest. Use that on me we fighting no questions about it.

Oh for sure... Sorry but if some dope pulls pepper spray or issue flash bangs on me it would be two assault charges

This is no different then shooting glass breakers and rubber riot rounds. They have no place in paintball.

I had no idea such things were available to civillians. I remember seeing the " thunder" grenades in, like, a BudK catalog, but those were blow-molded plastic shells and a mechanism that pierces a 12-gram, to make the shell pop like the old trick of putting dry ice in a plastic soda bottle.

I can tell you, as someone who's already lost too much hearing to loud machinery, rock concerts and a couple cases of gunfire where circumstances did not permit the luxury of sufficient time to don hearing protection (ahem) that if some asshole threw one of those at me during a paintball game, I would definitely be calling the police and pressing assault charges- after I broke the guy's leg off and beat him senseless with it.

So... Taginn products were VERY illegal to import a few years ago. I think they had to work to get a base setup in the USA, and be very selective on how they approached marketing and the laws around explosives. At the moment I am guessing that they are skirting through under "fireworks" laws.

The whole culture of Airsoft/ "Milsim" is extremely different than paintball. Guys want the full blown experience, pretending to be Travis Haley, Chris Costa, "Seals", etc. All of the loadout/kits are based around it. Guys wear a full set of Crye gear a ballistics vest and bump helmet to the tune of say just to go shoot little white balls at 13 year olds. I mean we all know paintball is expensive, but I don't think even the gucci gear costs as much as Crye. I mean the pants are $400 by themselves!

I used to play airsoft, and even did one of the super fancy "milsim" events. In almost all of the instances I've seen, when these are approved to use at an event or field, ear protection is required. Especially indoors. 99% of fields don't allow anything more than the "plastic shell" setups like Doc described.

I can tell you that when properly equipped, playing with these is a ton of fun. Extremely satisfying and very immersive. But just like real firearms there is a level of safety and respect that must be had in order to have said fun. Anyone thinking they could prank a little Timmy at a field by using one of these is just asking to be sued, flogged, dismembered, etc.

Once upon a time I was certified to instruct, and use stuff like this. These guys are 125 decibels, not even close to real deal flash bangs, and below the 140 decibels that can cause damage.
A car horn is 110 usually, a 30-06 is 160 give or take. I don't think these things would warrant an assault charge, but a stern "hey asshole" would be in order.

db level for damage (non-prolonged exposure) is 120db so these are a risk of damage to your hearing without protection. Damage occurs well before the point of paint/discomfort.

One thing to remember about these airsoft flash bangs is they're normally just used in milsim events where many people wear electronic hearing protection. For paintball I'm not sure it would be a good idea to use these.
