I got roped into taking my son to the NXL Round 2 in Melbourne last Saturday. He was a last minute replacement for a Tasmanian team. It's been a couple of years since I've been to a tournament and the games are certainly getting shorter and faster. The average was around one minute.
Of course my son's space gun broke down and leaked air everywhere. We spent over an hour working on it but the rebuild kit doesn't have the manifold o-rings in it which was a bummer.
I took my video camera along and I must admit I had a hard time keeping up with the play. On average I was able to get just 2 to 3 shots per game before it was all over. It's certainly not your dad's paintball!
I put together a 3 minute highlights montage for the players and thought it may be of interest here.
