I don't know if I dreamt it or not, but I distinctly remember going to a paintball field in the mid/late '90s with my high school built out of an old bowling alley.
This would have been around 1997 and near Chattanooga, Tennessee- maybe Dunlap Georgia or up towards Cleveland, TN.
It was a field built out of a barely-stripped bowling alley that I want to say was the basement of a still-operating movie theater. I remember the field still having all the little groups of chairs around the ball return that the bowling alley would have used, but the space for the lanes themselves was a big netted-off field with a sawdust floor and plywood bunkers. The bowling alley's pro-shop was serving as the paintball field's pro-shop, and they had masks and automags for sale. I even remember their having some TVs up on the counter showing footage from the Music City Open from a few years before.
I only went there once, and as I rode a school bus there and back and probably had my head stuck in a book all the way I can't for the life of me remember what city this would have been in.
Does anyone remember the field I'm talking about or one like it?
