Awesome. I'm a trilogy guy and really appreciate all that has been done to that. Don't take this the wrong way, but it's giving me kind of a DP Fusion F4 vibe. In the best way possible. Not trying to compare your custom built Awesomeness to a low level electro, but thats what it made me think of.

I was wondering how that was coming along. Nicely done!

I really like the machined, and cleaned up feedneck area on this Trilly. I think that really improves on the original milling design!'96 RF Mini Cocker, '95 RF Autococker, 68-Automag Classic, Banzai Splash Minimag, Gen-E Matrix, Shoebox Shocker 4x4, Montneel Z-1, Tippmann Pro-Carbine, Tippmann Mini-Lite, Tippmann Model-98, Tippmann 68-Special, Spyder .50 cal Opus/Opus-A , Tippmann .50 Cal Cronus , Gog Enmey .50 cal , Tippmann Vert ASA 68-Carbine, Bob Long Millennium, ICD Grey Green Marble Splash Alleycat Deluxe (runs liquid co2) , Halfblock 2K4 Prostock Autococker , 2K RF Sniper II

Hay now I got a sweet CCM pump from him…

Haha hey you’re not allowed to keep track. I haven’t played paintball with a semi auto in like 5 years. I just want to make a small contribution to the “sweet guns” of the paintball world.
I wish this game had more money in it but putting together nice guns is rewarding on its own. It’s a miracle we have guys like Doc and the newer skilled machinists spending time on paintball. It’s for passion only and the whole point of getting a gun like this together is to hold it and say “this is sweet” and a thread like this where other people can say “sweet” is about as good as it gets haha.

Did this start life as a standard Trilly? or Trilly Pro?
I may have to keep an eye out for one in rough-ish shape to send off to Doc.

It was a standard trilogy. The pro vertical asa is angled. The one that was lost was a comp (red to black fade) and this body was originally a sport (blue)
The comp and sport bodies are the same except for finish, but the valves are different. The ones that don’t come with a reg have HP valves for running tank pressure direct.
-
I thought it was just the springs that were different. How are the valves themselves different?

It really makes me happy to see the gun appreciated. I haven’t played in a while but this project carried over and I just wanted to see it through. It was hard going through the fiddley work of picking good springs for the frame and finding screws and cutting down the pump rod when I’ve got my head in other places but it’s really nice to have it done.

Wow, this is amazing, great work. Seriously amazing, I suspect you have given birth to a Unicorn here, this is my new favorite!
i have been hoping/wondering if we would ever see someone (empire or other) do a new run of trilogy style bodies or complete packages, this is an excellent example of how that could look. I gather the original was cast and the machined, maybe with printing tech making casting easier it would be possible.

WHOOOOOOOO BOY!!! That's a beauty!!!
I've been an outspoken apologist for Trilogies for years, so I really love this. It's definitely one of the nicest trilogies I've ever seen. The milling is tasteful, and the conscious choice to NOT upgrade the LPR and timing rod shows a real knowledge of the platform and its strengths. Very well done!!
