... it does take a lot of effort to sell parts. Pictures, pricing, listing, packaging, shipping, messaging etc..

Amen dude, it really does and I don't begrudge anyone making a reasonable markup. I always put it off until I have a good pile stacked up. I know it's time to batch out some listings when my wife won't come in the office anymore and that "15 year old paintball gear" smell starts to permeate

As for gouging, or parting out rarer markers - it does feel to be in bad taste, but, it's a free market and 'casual buyers' may do all those same things. I don't like seeing it either, I suppose we vote with our dollars.
