Some windex down the barrel was an old Spyder tactic, at least it circulated a lot on the old Kingman forums.

I've been meaning to try some NeverWet to see if if it does anything. Although lately I've been just using my Timmy and it's rare to have a break, usually just goo buildup from sloppy balls.

Waxing your barrel is so old school. Most people just use fleshlights these days.

After giving this more thought. There is a oldschool paintballer that used to be on here quite a bit that swore by using bowling lane wax to coat the inside of Nelspot barrels. Highly durable and last longer but a pain to apply.

I personally doubt there's much difference. J&Js are ceramic coated, and there's not much better than that, and I still don't see a difference. Just use a swab. You might as well be "waxing your barrel"

Well, rust would be bad for velocity, so that must have worked! I would not be surprised if that was the origin of the idea.

Especially considering how most people treat their equipment.

I would wax my 007 barrels but that was more o help prevent rust than anything else.

What's the purpose of waxing the barrel? Is it for helping with shooting through breaks?

I hear it can make it look bigger.
