I recently moved from Utah to Virginia and got to play today. I posted in the South East section about my moving and chatted with a few folks. Made plans to try out a field and met Pyrate Jim there. He drove even further than I did. And let me tell you what, this gentleman fully encompasses the true spirit of MCB. He brought along tons of amazing, old school memorabilia and gear that gives you the "kid in a candy store" feeling. Mint condition 007, super cool Phantoms, old JT goodness. He's been playing as long as I have been alive and it was a blast getting to know another MCB member in real life. Shared stories from the golden days and his friendship with Jack Locicero amongst many things.
I am sure he won't mind, but I had to snap a photo of what he was rocking which was the coolest stock class Automag ever. SP wood grips, AA barrel, running a lever changer island style. You could blow on the pump handle and it would cock. Then he busted out all the patches and a binder full of official technician certificates from just about every brand out there...so awesome! I should have just taken a video showing everything and interviewing the man.
We had a photo taken on his camera with a Carter's Commandos banner which I'll update this post with later on.
