Magical combinations and the Squirrel Sack

Last time I played at this field, I didn't have this issue. Sure the paint was still field quality, but not THIS bad...

First game, balls were swerving every direction possible. Just the absolute worst. So I cleaned my loader, barrel, breech and feedneck. Busted out the Squirrel Sack and one pod at a time cleaned all the balls I had left (which was a lot).

Then I decided to finally use this old 14" Dye Broomstick that's been in my bag with my Emek and holy shit, it was an insane improvement. Made it seem like I was shooting much higher quality paint, was landing incredible shots. The chrono consistency was better as well, not perfect could be better but could be much worse. But the efficiency of the Emek was still absolutely amazing.

Magical combo: Emek, unmakred (.688) Boomstick regardless of paint. Squirrel Sack for that extra oily or broken bag.

Also get a Squirrel Sack. It contributed to saving the day as well.

I showed my wife, and said thats a good stocking stuffer. She seems to think she can make these pretty easily. I'm thinking the outer layer needs to be something tougher. Fumble a micro fiber bag once and its full of sticks forever. And a gust of wind before you have it full of paint will be just the nudge it needs. Thats my luck at least.

I should invest in one of these. Why not? The field paint I get is always visibly oily as hell but I’m too lazy to fumble with paper towels every time I open a bag. I just hope the zipper on this thing can handle repeated washes. Does it look like a sturdy zipper?

I run mine through the wash with my other microfibers. Cold wash, oxy-clean, extra low heat in the dryer with NO fabric softeners. The softeners actually make it hard for microfiber to absorb liquids.

I have had one for a while and it seems durable enough. It’s just two microfibers sowed together with a zipper attached at the top.

I've been bringing a full size terrycloth bath towel with me to fields for over 20 years to do the same thing... but I inevitably forget to watch all the folds I make and have good paint come streaming out onto the ground. A bag is a great idea.
