My next version I would like to add Kingman to Autococker threads and add a stop like the factor Tippmann freak barrel

Yes however it is TASO threaded!
-In that case, yours would have to be custom-fitted. I haven't had anything TASO threaded in the shop since I sold my Spartan, like, almost 20 years ago.

Wanna get freaky on the 007 you built me should have plenty of room to play with with the barrel extension I put on it. It’s already Phantom internally swapped.
-As I recall, there wasn't enough room to bore a sleeved 007. The groove where the setscrews land winds up paper-thin, and trying to cinch down the sleeve screws, even lightly, would likely dent the groove and possibly damage the insert.

That why my example shown earlier uses that screw-on stub barrel, since I have to take the original barrel extension off.

(Fun fact, I very strongly suspect that threading 007s for screw-in barrels back in the day, is where 'Cocker barrels come from. The 007 body has the "barrel" section pressed in and spot-welded in place. In order to thread it for a barrel, most of that insert needs to be machined away, leaving only the outer body tube ID. That just happens to be very close to 'Cocker bore specs, and the fine 20 tpi thread, just right for threading the tube wall without making it too thin. There's an old issue of APG, I think, that shows a 007 modded for a threaded barrel- and other than the threads being twice as long or so, that's pretty much a 'Cocker barrel.)

Well I summon nobbie333 to this thread for more pics of his Autococker/SL68 Freak to FreakXL Adapter that BMC crafted.
-I'd be interested in seeing that. I almost threaded my old SL for 'Cocker barrels once, years ago. Only reason I didn't was I didn't want to have to rework the pump, too.

I have been think about for many year than I found this https://stanchy.com/collections/barr...insert-adapter after some thought you could modify this as a thread adapter
-That's more or less what I had in mind for the 'retained' mod- not a barrel thread for the add-on piece, but a custom fine thread. The add-on piece doesn't necessarily need to be removable.

    Doc.

The other problem you need to find a way to stop the freak insert from coming out the back on some barrels

I've got two blades, I just don't recall if they work, and more importantly, I don't recall where they are...

I was going to say "I would watch that", but let's be honest, I'd probably be featured in it.

The mounting lug was why I was thinking XL would make it work.... 8" long inserts plus the 3"-ish breech should give lots of room.

If it something you could do I'd be interested in getting a Vector barrel done.

You'd probably need to go XL Freak but if you bored from the business end and threaded it for a Freak tip would it work?
-I don't know. I haven't looked at my Vector in over a decade. Last I recall, the trickiest part was the front retaining lug. An XL might be possible, but I'm going to have to look.

Can a Bore Drop Buzzard be freak bored?
-Does it already have a removable barrel? If so, probably yes.

In this case, at the moment, I'm looking at a mod specifically for markers that need the insert positively retained, and it'd better still, if they used WGP threads, so I don't have to custom-fit each one. And, near as I can tell, that means Rangers and some, but not all, Carters.

    Doc.

The vector battles have lots of machining ...
Would be cheaper to cut, freak and thread the front of an existing barrel ...

The 007, are they soldered or welded?
Working...
