You'd probably need to go XL Freak but if you bored from the business end and threaded it for a Freak tip would it work?

I love RF, but low rise feedneck would be nice ...
-I can look into it, I have a Vector around here somewhere, but as I recall, last I thought about it, it'd be a lot of custom machining. Meaning something like a $200+ barrel.

Collecting and freaking a bunch of Nelson 007 bodies would probably be the most godly of gods work
    -You mean like these?

I've done about half a dozen of those. It's not cheap, as it's kind of tricky work, but definitely doable.

How about a Blade? I remember thinking I ought to make a couple, just for giggles, a while back. Doesn't need the 'retaining' part, but if any of you out there have a Blade that you actually use on occasion, hit me up.

    AP Vector?

    The Mag one is interesting.
-I may try one for giggles, but the twist-lock grooving is tricky to machine.

Been wanting something like this for my ranger for a long time. Hopefully you do some in regular freak length bull barrel style.
-That's kind of what I'm leaning towards. Both the Ranger and the Carters will want a nominally 1" OD barrel. Make some in black for the Rangers and leave some polished for the Carters.

    BE Raptor.
-Already in the works. The batch I'm working on is specifically trying to fill a few holes that haven't been made in a while- ICD, VM, Ion, etc. Was planning a few (like, less than five each, at least for now) for things like the Raptor and F1 Illustrator.

I am sure it is a small market, but if I owned a buzzard (and I have owned a few in the past) this product would excite me.

BE Raptor. And if you have interest in doing one, I have interest in paying for one

"Freaking the Unfreakable" sounds like a docu-series about discovering new fetishes.

started a topic Freaking the Unfreakable?

    Freaking the Unfreakable?

I've had an idea, for a good number of years now, for a mod to a Freak back, that will allow for 'retaining' the inserts. That is, the insert will only come out the front.

I know, for example, that the Carter pumps that take removable barrels, could use such a thing- I made a one-piece, from-scratch Carter Freak many, many years ago:

There's also the Ranger, for similar reasons, and the M-98 because of the way the bolt fits. What else might need a 'retained' Freak insert?

The OD of the mod would be too big to fit an SL-68, and the "knuckle" where the back meets the tip is definitely too big for the pump bore. I believe the old Brass Eagle Cobra would need such a thing (though, it's worth asking, who would buysuch a thing for one? )

The 'Mag, of course, and I may be attempting something like that shortly on a Stingray. Anything else?

The other half of that question is, of course, does anyone even want such a thing? A 'Cocker-thread back, as far as I'm aware, would work on a fair number of Carters and Rangers, so if anything, I'd make a small handful of those. Anything else- like a Cobra back- would have to be by special-order.

    Doc.
