    Anyone recognize this phreaky phantom?

    Here's what I do know....

    - Traded into Hogan's Ally in CT along with a less modified phantom.
    - body looks one off, that's a detent on the side.
    - frame is a phantom one machined flat and modified to work wit said body.
    - internals all phantom
    - the pump is a modified sniper 3 handle.
    - the barrel seems to be a cut up and press fit wgp
    - that knob controls chamber volume...

Past that..... Stumped. Likely a one off custom unless someone digs something up

Barely bubba'ed... Everything machined clicks into place the tolerance between parts is so tight.

The whole thing actually feels fantastic

    That's a multiple-bubba.

And I don't say that in a derogatory way... or, at least not entirely. My main impression is that's not one person's work, or if it is, it was done over a fair period of time.

First, we have the body and that front clamping thing. Which are anodized, meaning somebody took the time to make those, fit them, and then send them off for anno.

On the other hand, the detent looks cobbled- it might never have been anything more than spring steel, which has since rusted, but that mounting screw looks more cobbled than the body would suggest. Was the hole for the detent done before or after anodizing?

And obviously that valve body was done after all that- it wasn't machined to fit the body, nor was it anodized. So it was made later, probably just for testing/experimentation.

I wonder if it was meant to actually change the chamber volume size, which doesn't have a particularly noteworthy effect on velocity, or meant to compress the valve spring, which does. (It's worth noting I made something like that years ago for a Trracer, technically a Trracer-Cocker, since it was such a pain to change springs, and trying to adjust by the input pressure, often screwed up the cocking pressure. The adjuster worked, sort of, but didn't have a wide range, and the gun itself had too many problems to properly experiment with.)

The detent is some type of springy brass/bronze. It's not magnetic and scratched "gold"

This is pretty neat. I really like it I have to agree with Ecapnation everything looks well machined and put together. couple questions
1.whats with the Buzzard style collar up front?is it to hold the frame and body together?

2does that knob on the back control the valve spring pressure?

If I saw someone playing with that I'd stop to ask about it

Bingo.on the collar... There is a stainless pin press fit into the frame that the screw pushes into.

I bet that detent is made out of an old feeler gauge

No idea, but it's so kludgy that I kind of want it.
      I can haz feedback?

That looks sweet, a 4.5oz and a stick feed straight into the feedneck and you're rolling!

        I'd definitely pump that 😁

I think that's a Spitfire body on there. They're breech drop and compatible with Phantom guts. Major modifications would've had to have been done to make the trigger frame work though. Barrel was a clamp-style, though.

What's it look like under the body? How is the front frame screw done up?

Well dang. There goes my guess. Maybe it is a custom job.
