Hey nak81783 quick question, I have that same exact Chrono, do you have any issues with it reading? Lately I've been having a lot of problems but I'm shooting yellow reballs so I figured those are close to what you were using here so I'm not certain where my problem is

Do you have the infrared lights? If there’s sunlight or light from bulbs (seems LEDs are the worst) hitting the sensors, it won’t read unless you’re using the IR lights. The sunshades can only do so much to help, so I always use the IR lights.

Clean the sensors with q-tips dipped in dish soap water. Then dry with more q-tips.

Make sure the tip of your barrel isn’t past the first sensor. Make sure the ball is passing straight through both sensors.

Are you asking about it reading on the digital readout or in the app? I have to use my kid’s older iPad for the app to work. It doesn’t work on my iPhone (not new, but newer than the iPad).

Make sure batteries are fresh - chrono and IR lights. I have a wall adapter for the IR’s. I only use the battery pack to the IR’s if I don’t have wall power nearby.

Some of these are probably obvious, but they’re things I’ve done wrong or missed in the past. And I think the chrono came in different kits, so I’m not sure which components you have. That’s about all I can think of off the top of my head. Good luck.

I use wall power. I don't think I have IR lights though. Got mine used in CL. Guess I'll go poke around for the IR lights

Interesting. Mine doesn’t have a power cord for the chrono itself, just the IR lights. It’s got a printer-ish style usb port and a stereo jack. The stereo jack is for linking to the iPad. The manual says the usb is for factory use only, I assume programming. Does your wall cord plug into the usb port, or does your chrono have a different port?

The wall power is not a factory thing. I bought a 9v wall power converter. I got tired of forgetting to turn it off and draining a 9v battery

Here's the exact one I got. Nice long cord as well

we found when shooting my X/E mag over the chrono, that the faster you shot it, the more consistent it was.

depends on how the valve/regulator combo works. the automag seemed to be the most sensitive. which i think makes sense when you consider the on/off/reg system on them.

test shows just how much gun doesnt make a difference. its all in the paint. and to a lesser extent the paint to barrel/breach match.

I finally bought a little scale, so I was able to weigh the nylon riot ball. Here's ten of them in grams.

                  3.67, 3.65, 3.68, 3.68, 3.70, 3.70, 3.68, 3.70, 3.67, 3.69

Trbo323 The wall cord I ordered works well. While I had the chrono out, I re-confirmed LED lights make the thing go crazy without the IR lights. It gave me various numbered errors and then just started displaying constantly changing velocities. This was without actually shooting anything over it and with either nothing over the sensors or the basic sunshades. Once I put the IR lights on, it worked great.
