Paintball Dreams Thread

And by dreams I mean the kind you have when you're asleep. I have paintball related dreams all the time and I know many of you do as well so come here to share!

Mine range from finding amazing new old stock gear in stores to weird on the field situations.

My most recent (last night) I was playing with a Phantom and wearing a 007 harness, both of which I don't own. Balls were shooting way weird, trigger pull was way weird (common themes, probably stemming from my greatest fears) but I was playing way aggressive and making gnarly moves. It was indoor air bunkers for some reason and a bunch were deflated and I was squishing into them getting sweet angles. ONLY IN MY DREAM AMIRITE?!

I have a recurring dream of playing paintball in which I realize I'm not wearing a mask, which freaks me out enough to wake me up. Shits kinda frustrating not gonna lie.

Low velocity and sear not engaging for shots. Getting bunkered and spasming in bed haha. Still dreams of slipping in kitty litter at Wildfire trying to shoulder a prolite while some dude with minimag slips around the corner behind me. Same old paintball themed stress dreams. No cool ano jobs either...

Mine are usually about finding gear lots on Craigslist.

Occasionally I’ll have one where I’m trying to get ready to play and I either can’t find my gear cause I forgot something or it’s not working.

I recently had a strange paintball dream. There was an indoor woodsball field (does that even exist?) and I was playing with my Emek. I keep moving up and getting eliminations and then ended the game. Then I walked outside to the car and my friends who weren't playing with me asked if we could go home.

There use to be one in NJ down by the Meadowlands it was pretty cool to. I forget the name of it but it got flooded out during one of the Hurricanes and it closed up. Same guy that owns Battle Creak now. I forget the name of it but it was really fun to play.

Yeah all the structures were movable so they would move them clean the floor and switch them up. Even had a pistols only field that was setup like a bank with props. It was right around the time the Tipx came out. They would rent them. It was attached to Medowlands Paintball. They had an Xball field ran just outside the old Dragonfly bar in an old Driving range. I use to play down there Every weekend back in the day.

I have recurring dreams of getting great field position on a bunch of people and ending up with super low velocity or chopping. What does it mean doctor?

My PB dreams usually involve being unprepared, or unable to find necessary gear once I'm at the field. Which is not far from reality.

I'm loving the number of performance anxiety paintball dreams being reported here. Glad I'm the only one incapable of properly playing paintball while dreaming.

I rarely have sleeping dreams of paintball. I often force myself to daydream about paintball so that I don't "finish too early" during "friendly handshakes with the lady. It's surprisingly effective, and I'm always the hero.

Another theme I frequently dream about is paintball magazines. Walking through a store, passing the magazine section and finding a bunch. This used to actually happen, miss those days.

I hadn't had a paintball dream in years, but this thread stuck with me and I did have a dream the other night. I was using a clear anodized Spyder TL (I don't think I have ever played with a Spyder) and found the double trigger really annoying. I kept shooting these two guys in low bunkers but nothing was breaking and one guy got a good angle on me but nothing broke on me either, so we eventually just called it a draw and walked off.

I recall one really defined one. And it consisted of 2 stages. First one was of me and a couple friends staying in a ghetto motel the night before a game. (No specific game we were just traveling to play)

And people kept trying to mess with our gear in the back of my truck, so I was out in the parking lot in a constant conflict guarding gear. Then some guy tried to give me a religious flyer.. there were other weird events in that one, but I cant recall them all.

Then that dream transitioned into gameday. And we were all at a huge field big game format. Kinda felt like sherwood forest, but wasn't sherwood specifically.

Game was already going, guns blazing. My buddies and I walking in to spawn. And I wasn't wearing my mask... in fact at that point, I realized I didnt bring a mask at all. By the time I realized, the fire fight was totally around me, and I basically had to curl up in a ball and hide my face. I woke up at that point.
