REG-LESS Autococker Pump - School Me

What should I expect, higher spring pressure requirements? Lower efficiency (obviously, but anything considerable)?

I might honestly buy a 420psi output tank just for this marker. Just curious on everyone's takes.

Expect a lot of spring tuning, and when you get it right keep that tank setup dedicated to that specific marker.

It can be done just get yourself a good spring kit. With 420 psi tank output you’re probably going to need a stiffer spring. But it won’t necessarily be inefficient if you can get it all balanced with a good paint to bore match and timed nicely.

If I went to slp around 300 psi, think ide be able to keep a relatively light spring?

Might even be able to drop a CCM lower kit in it.

Maybe that's the ticket then, snag a alpha reg and a small CI bottle to run with it.

You may still have to play around with springs but that should get you close. Modern tank regs are surprisingly consistent. Especially on HPA with a Pump ware you don’t need super fast recharge rates. It can totally be done. Post up your progress I’m curious what you plan is. I had a Hard time getting my KCPS Scout right but that was due to getting it to run on unregulated 12g. HPA is so much easier.

You'll be fine. I shot regless on a sniper and then an Autococker - on CO2, for the longest time. It really doesn't effect too much. I personally think people get far more worked up over it than it deserves. While it helps for fine tuning velocity, it's not that hard to dial it in without.

This is the way it all started. Reg-less on CO2. It’s amazing what your can do with some springs.

Dumb question as someone who's gone through a few 'cockers and snipers. Where can you even get a "good" spring kit these days outside of buying an entire lowers set? I remember the maddmann (spelling?) spring kits being solid and relatively inexpensive, but don't really see anything like that anymore.

It’s been a while since I purchased some but inception sells spring kits. I use to use the mad man springs myself a lot. I have built up a collection of various springs over the years so I kind of have a BagOsprings I grab from. I wish I still had a a full Mad Man kit because those worked in a wide range of markers. There are places you can send springs to and they will replicate them and make new kits. Autococker parts seems like it’s got a good selection as well. I have not tried them tho but they are cheap I would probably start there.

DocFire just released his own spring kits as well. See the second photo for his comparisons to other spring kits.

FIRE Springs are MADE IN THE USA by US workers  The kit consists of 5 levels of spring strengths in hammer springs and 6 valve springs making 30 combinations for tuning.  All springs are made from music wire.  The comparison chart will show the +/- relative to the FIRE spring.  Example if it shows "Blue - / Green +" th
