Just started another Vee-Twin I thought I'd show you ladies and gents, and this one's gonna be a little special. The soon-to-be new owner has dubbed it The Ex-Wife, partly as a riff off Hammer's "Bunker Buster" missile from Iron Man, and partly because that's about how much it's gonna cost when it's done.
As usual, we started with a nice big ingot of aluminum, 3" round 6061:

Why round? It's the only way I can get a bar thick enough, locally, without special-ordering. (And if I ordered it, I'd have to buy a full stick, either 12 or 20 feet- and you gents aren't ordering enough of these to make that worthwhile.
)
Anyway, after a few minutes, round becomes square...

Square becomes a literal bucketload of tiny chips...

And once those chips are removed, lo the form of a wonder is revealed.

That's as far as I got today, but I'm hoping to have this wrapped up- at least my part of the build- before the end of the month. Stand by!
