    Educate me on the ricochet

So I've used the halo TSA on my pump forever, I absolutely love it but parts are getting hard to find so I'm considering moving on. I like the idea of an agitator over a force feed. I know there are different versions of the ricochet out there, so what's the differences, what was all made? Can you still get parts?

They're also obsolete... the AK is 9v and 2xk is 12v, but past that I don't remember the others. Shells tend to crack at the neck, due to the o-ring grooves.

    The Pinokio was pretty similar.

Was it Virtue making a new agitated loader?

I agree especially for powered pump hoppers. Best part is they are still being made today. So parts are super easy to find if you ever need them. They take universal speed feeds to if that’s your thing. (Like the really cheap exalt / knock off type that last forever) They even came in cool colors if you want something unique. The way they agitate the paint keeps the paint from getting forced past the detents like with a lot of power hoppers. Revvy is definitely the way to go for pump large capacity.

Agreed... the ricochet was dated the day after it came out.

I have one. I think it has the LCD screen. I've never used it and should check if it works. It would make a nice trade... 😀

I hadn't thought about the pinokio actually. I always forget that it's more agitator than force feed mainly because it's billed as force feed

Interested to hear about a new agitator for sure, any more news you have there is welcome

Personally if I'm not running a force-fed hopper (Dye Rotor LTR), I'm just running a gravity feed. Especially since you said you're playing pump. The PaintballDNA JOLO is my go-to. The fact that he makes 3D printed 50rd gravity hoppers that are actually designed well so that they don't bind up and force you to shake them is such a blessing.

but I mean if you're stuck on wanting an agitator, why would you consider anything but a Revvy? Classic, iconic hopper, and still being produced so you can buy a brand new one, and get parts for it if needed.

Ricochet Apache for $25 in the B/S/T right now though, cheap enough to give it a try I guess.
Reasoning is the agitators are typically lighter, I don't need done high rof but I do use an AT so something better than gravity, they are reliable and rarely jam. If the batteries ever die they are just gravity hoppers so I don't miss anything.

I want a hopper I can put a full pod in. Jolo is cool and all but I don't like limited paint play, just not my thing I've tried it

Revy, honestly I just hate the styling of it. Love how it functions but it just looks like a gravity hopper with a tumor to me and they at least feel like they are really tall, I've never actually compared them though. If someone would take revy guts and put it in a spire shell I would be all over it.

I didn't say I'm giving up my halo. I put way too much work into it. It currently has a color shifting paint job on it

I tried to do a clear shell but good ol ANS sent me the small version for the left and large version for the right so yeah, that didn't happen and there are no more clear shells out there

I can see how that could be mis-taken. I don't want your TSA. I was referring to the general idea of trading something. I'll check the Apache yhis weekend. I've two TSA's also.

Check out the Pinocchio Speed then sounds like the perfect hopper for you. Only downside is they don’t fit in all feednecks especially feednecks that are thick walled. They sit really nice on a marker and their design gives you a really good field of view. You could probably Cerokote it the same color as your old one.

I see you have been swayed from ricochet hoppers. But I personally like them. You need to swap the weed whip paddles out for a revvy paddle, but then they work really well.

I like them because they are light, and shape keeps them skinny at the feedneck so line of sight is unobstructed.

I have like 8x shell sets for ricochet ak hoppers laying around. If you want a spare set Ill send ya one.

For some time I ran a Revolution on my Trracer but not anymore. You don’t need agitation, force feed, or any other cutting edge dildonics because Gog makes a gravity feed loader that out feeds a Revolution. I respect that you think you AT fast but you will NOT outshoot the Gog “multi caliber” gravity feed loader with any pump except maybe some extremely trick pneumatic assist. It’s also only $12 and has a pretty good lid on it.

                    https://www.ebay.com/itm/282065919661?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=z2w7owedRRi&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=PbAWBqJg SE-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

You see…back in the day they invented the agitation before anyone had yet developed a basic container shape that flowed rounds as well as it could so electronics are seen as “required” when they really aren’t unless you have an electro or an absolutely ripping mech. The physicality of shooting a pump paintball gun is all the shake you need if the box is the right shape.

A few years ago someone did a flow test here with videos for all the passive hoppers and it was pretty enlightening.

                    EDIT: found it:

Gog gravity hopper is 11.6 bps!

I agree no need for power unless you are shooting something super fast and it don’t have eyes. This is what sold me on the JOLO. + how sexy are these custom ones Benji made us. OP don’t want low capacity but the JoLo Rips!

if you want agitation get a PBDNA Mojo and put some revy guts in it. great look, smaller 70rnd option, works great.
