    Used CVOs cheaper than Emeks

The CVO is considered more high end, but I've seen several being listed for under 300. Whereas even bone stock Emeks still fetch 225-250, and beyond upwards of 6-700 with Inception bodies.

Just thought that was interesting. I had a CVO for a second and really wanted to like it. But felt too small, the bolt system felt really cheap and brittle, and it chopped too much. So if course the Emek remains the top contender (for me).

CVO is faster but less efficient. Early ones had issues with the bolts but were rectified with a “Free upgrade” from my understanding.

Emek has always been rock solid reliable. It’s more efficient and with mods can shoot just as fast as a CVO with better efficiency. PE markers tend to hold their value well regardless, and the Emek can be modified with a bunch of upgrades. So you can build as you go.

I loved the CVO trigger. It was whatever feel you wanted it to be. I could rip on that all day and have no issue. All around it was a solid marker, and I only had an oring fail once (I blame the dirty air in the ancient system at that field.) I always ran mine with an Eggy, and it never chopped. It reminds me of a mech Ion alot, but with everything super refined. And just like an Ion, they aren't very efficient compared to PE's and the like.

It was a fine marker, but I recently sold it for around $300. I just don't play semi anymore, so I couldn't justify keeping it when I still have Ions, mech and electro.

The trigger on the CVO is def the strongest point. I can properly rip on it, at a speed I just can't hit with any of my other space mechs. But it's always been much more picky with paint and it just feels too tiny/insubstatial in the hand to me.
That said I wouldn't turn my nose up at one for the used prices some of them are going for.

I got to dry fire a CVO recently and really liked it even tho i definitely couldn't rip on it lol. I'd be in the market for one at the 300 range also. I guess the amp gets better efficiency but that one is also a little more expensive.

        I find this hilarious.

What were the cvos new? Like 1k?

Like $649 new. That might be for the new AMP one. But you can find used ones in the same price range of an EMek. That’s why they are being compared. You do get more with a Shocker than an Emek honestly. The like Shockers barrel is definitely nicer and you get an all aluminum marker. It’s more like the M170R then it is an Emek honestly. But the Shockers bad resale actually makes it a pretty good deal on the used market.

The CVO is great gun. I like the shot quality/characteristic a lot better than a gammacore PE gun or a Shocker AMP/Luxe TM40. It comes with the sacrifice of efficiency and it is easier to short stroke or chop paint.
I've had three CVO's and wouldn't be against owning another one. Ultimately, I sold it because the Emek is more reliable and when I play mech with Walk-Ons it's typically with an autococker.

I just sold my 170 to buy another cvo. They just feel way better to me. And I can shoot it noticeably faster, even with the upgraded valve and trigger

I found I liked my modified Emek over my M170R I can definitely shoot my Emek faster. Which is odd because it’s a super similar setup. Those CVO rip when you get them setup right.

I also like the emek with inception body better than the 170.. sold both 170s. Surprisingly iamthelazerviking old emek is the best shooter of the bunch

M170 also felt too small for me. Emek wins for ergos too. Well, the CS2 does but I justify keeping that expensive of a marker when the Emek performs close enough to the same.

You utter, utter bastards. Are you all in cahoots, trying to get me to buy a CVO? That is low - even for MCB standards.

Who came up with this scheme in the first place? Surely not iamthelazerviking. Obviously you're just using him as a trustworthy front, since he's got "viking" in his nickname.

I'll help you out: I think CVO's shoot bad and feel bad in the hand. Their ergonomics disagree with me and I don't like the way they sound too.

Thank you! At least there is one upstanding member of society here on MCB. Urge to kill... ...uh... I mean urge to buy a CVO fading.

Go for it if you want to. They do look really nice and I wanted to live it but just wasn't for me. And I'm definitely an Eclipse fan boy.

I also have a fond spot for the cvo, and I think gamma cores shoot like a rental 98 custom.

I personally have a mech'd rsx and I've bought and sold many newer shooters since acquiring it. Though the rsx is basically a tooless ion and kicks a bit more than the cvo. I love how it holds and shoots. I can remember last time I was at blast camp. My buddy and I both got our cvos anodized, and I reassembled them before that game. He arrived with his PE guns, and started the day with them. It was cold, and his gsl started having issues. I was owning fools with my rsx all morning. I convinced him to try his rsx, and next time we caught each other podding up, he was like yeah dude this thing is working way better. There is a nice rsx on my local craigslist right now, but I gotta curb my addiction.
